I'd just like to know so I can do it right next time. Not seeing the difference here.

Well there's a pretty big difference. Doubledealer was found all across toysrus across north america while Brainstorm was rarely ever spotted (and probably never spotted at tru, someone correct me if I am wrong). Brainstorm had a very limited run at the big retail stores and few people got him. Hence him showing up at a discount chain is big news because that means he's available somewhere, thats the main news here. And it will be big news if we see chromia or arcee there too simply because these were sparsely found at retail initially, unlike doubledealer and a bunch fo others who end up being found in retail.

So, this to me seems like one of those really US specific things. Like, in Canada i don't personally know what kind of discount chain would carry legit TF products and not just KOs. I can be easily proven wrong, I bet, because I come from Quebec and only recently moved to Ontario... but still, I would love to know.

Canada has the same thing in the form of Winners. That's the place we get the TFs we couldnt find in other retail places like the Beast Hunters Construct Bot sets that never made it to TRU, Walmart or Target. They also have the generations figures that have yet to be sold in stores at Target or TRU right now and selling at a discount (its from the sighting page, you can click the pic to go there):

I read this post this morning here in Carlsbad California and headed over to the local TJ Maxx in Encinitas (5 minutes down the street). There was one buried on the shelf in pristine condition. Just yesterday I was on the verge of dropping about $26 on BBTS for one. I don't know whether to be angry at the little ankle biters that messed up the toy section and almost caused me to miss out on finding this hidden treasure or thank them for inadvertently hiding it for me to find. Am I the only collector that gets irritated when kids are in MY action figure isle? LOL :BOT:

I just found a single Brainstorm at the TJ Maxx near me. I was hoping to maybe see Arcee or Gears there as well, but the only other TF merchandise they had were those large, cheap looking non-transforming AoE figures and a hand full of Beast Hunters cyberverse figures. I am surprised they haven't been flooded with AoE stuff yet like they were after the last couple of movies. They had DotM stuff on the shelves for nearly a year here.

I checked my TJ Maxx again today, and Saw nothing but BH Cyberverse figures. Ugh.

I've been to TJMaxx, Marshall's AND Ross. Nothing, nada, zip. And zilch.

I'm not even interested in Brainstorm, I just want to see rare/new figures on the shelves. (How sad is that?)

I wish you luck. Keep checking, I get the feeling these are just starting to get distributed to the stores and here they get trucks in 3 days a week. Hopefully they pop up in larger numbers soon and maybe we will see some Gears, Arcee, and Chromia sightings as well.

 I can actually relate to that. Its been so long since I made a cool new find at the stores around that I did a double take when I found Brainstorm. I wish the Walmarts here kept Hasbro lines stocked as well as they do the TMNT and Power Rangers stuff.

I could go for some new Power Rangers mecha. The Dino Charge Megazord and the aux Zords are nice, but not enough to cut it for me. I needs my plastic crack fix, stat!

Generations Voyagers finally spotted in the UK

Postby william-james88 » Sat Mar 14, 2015 4:02 pm

Great news for UK fans. Several Generations Voyagers dating as far back as wave 2 have finally been spotted in the UK. For those unaware, FOC Grimlock and Soundwave were the only Generations voyagers ever found locally in the UK, and those were Toysrus exclusives.

However, several fellow Seibertronians have found them at B&M stores in the UK at £12.99. These include Whirl, Roadbuster, Blitzwing, Rhinox, Springer, Doubledealer, Grimlock, Soundwave, and Blaster. These will also be available at UK online retailer The Enterainer at £23. Good luck with the hunt!

If anyone wants to check our galleries first if they want to check these figures out before finally purchasing them, feel free to click the picture below.

So do we not count Forbidden Planet then? Because they've had these for ages. Granted, not always in stock, but I've certainly seen all 3 over the year or so in their London store.

Those are most likely imports. This news here means that these toys are actually getting a proper UK domestic retail release.

In my humble opinion, Whirl and Sandstorm are BOTH a must buy. The greatness of that mold is too great to pass up. Avoid the Blitzwing mold like the plague. It's bad. really bad. It's not fun at all and it's full of design issues. Soundwave and Blaster are great but Rhinox is just OK.

While I agree that the musts here is the Sandstorm and Springer mold, the rest are really dependent on taste. Whirl and Soundwave is an quired taste. I guess Rhinox is too but I love him to death (and I really like the takara version of Skybyte)

Good for the folks in the UK, but again my country, The Netherlands, strikes out. Thanks Hasbro for leaving us in the cold since like forever.

Whenever we do get something it is always double the price of the US, absolutely revolting.
