If you're referring to the change in colours then no, Mods/Admins are green, news crew are blue, and those rarely sighted RPG folks are a different shade of green.
That being said, ALL staff are technically Moderators and can act accordingly. For some reason I keep getting messages from certain news crew members saying "You can deal with it".

I wasn't referring to it no. Just pointing out another of Rated X's overstatements.
Ryan says "Say-ber-tron" in reference to this site all the time. He says it on the podcast, he says it at BotCon, he says it whenever he feels like it. You are right that this is an American website, but it is one that uses an old Japanese name for its name.Rated X wrote:Sabrblade wrote:"Seibertron" = "セイバートロン" = "Say-ber-tron"Rated X wrote:If this website was official, it Wouldn't be spelled "Seibertron". It would be spelled Cybertron. I laugh every time someone on the podcast pronounces it as "Sabertron".
"Cybertron" = "サイバトロン" = "Sigh-ber-tron"
The name of this website is the 1984-2007 Japanese name of Planet Cybertron. It is supposed to be spoken as "Say-ber-tron", so the podcast guys have been saying correctly all along.
Im not doubting you. But I think Ill stick with the pronunciation from the American cartoon. I say tomato, you say tamato, I say potato, you say patato, etc. But this is an English website based out of America. I'm not sure where the podcast guy is from, but Ryan pronounced it "Cybertron" when he introduced himself to me at Botcon. I would think it's his call how the website's name is officially pronounced. Am I wrong ?

Btw you keeping ranting about kids becoming sissies. Not only does it disparage our female friends here by insinuating that only boys/men play with TOY robots, but I'd like to know what makes you such a man to judge others?

Are you serious ? You must be one of those parents. When I was ten I stayed out past dark, rode my bike 5 miles from home without supervision, climbed trees 3 stories tall all alone, and played with toy guns that were black with no stupid orange caps on the tip. Does anyone remember cap guns ? Do those things even exist anymore ? What happened to the good old days ? Yes, parents have become over paranoid and raise their kids like sissies. And it has nothing to do with grown men collecting robots. Its all about letting kids grow up and not trying to preserve them in a toddler state of mind just to please society. Being a kid in this day and age must suck. I wouldnt trade all the freedom I had growing up for any stupid PS4 or XBox so mommy can keep me on a leash all day.

Well Im 37 so you only got 3 years on me buddy ! Children have been kidnapped or shot up long before the 80's when we grew up. Unlike you, I dont believe intense paranoia is the solution to the problem. Ive turned down the oppurtunity to have kids a couple times because I refuse to raise my kid by the standards of todays society. The way 10 year olds get treated like 5 year olds and teenagers get treated like 10 year olds make me sick. I couldnt imagine getting reported to the police by a neighbor for leaving a 12 year old home alone for a couple hours. That's what video games are for. Who are they to tell me how I should raise my kid ? Having kids is not my cup of tea anyways.
On topic: It's Ryan's site and he can run it however he wants. But I think it's safe to say his opinions on 3rd parties are among the minority. I think more people care about what looks cool on their shelf than they do about the ethics of producing homages.

Superbowl commercials make the NFL millions. How much money does seibertron.com's advertisments make for Hasbro ??? (crickets chirping) Suddenly all the talk about ethics gets flushed down the toilet... So whats in your wallet ???

He keeps using the word sissies, he either doesn't know what the word means or just doesn't care about hurting people by using it. According to Rated X's definition of "masculinity" i grew up a "sissy". I grew up on a farm(I lived with my grandparents during the school year) or on the base at Stuttgart(where my father was stationed) so I had a very regimented childhood, I couldn't come and go as I pleased. I was told what to do and when to do it, there wasn't much time for play. I'd rather be a "sissy" any day than live one moment as Rated X.

I NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT THE NFL
You bring up a ANNUAL event. I'm talking about every day retailers who sell Transformers.
Can you honestly sit there and sprout off to EVERYONE that a TV station is a third party company if they run an advertisement for Walmart selling Transformers?
Can you do that?
As for what's in my wallet ... well ... why is that any of your concern?
-edit-
Actually njb brings up a good point. Can you PROVE the NFL makes money from the super bowl advertising? Because a quick read seems to suggest it's NBC that rakes in all that money.

And exactly how do you think NBC won the bid for a superbowl contract ? Chucky Cheese tokens ??? They fronted NFL the most money to win the contract. Same thing with Wrestlemania. You gotta pay Vince thousands if you want to show his pay per views in a sports bar. You aint gonna make ten thousand on drinks by using his IP unless you give him a cut. He screens addresses that order pay per views and sues violators all the time. So time for you to stop playing dumb and answer the question Ive been suggesting all along. Do you think its ethical for this website to profit off of the use of Hasbro's IP without giving them a cut ? If you say yes, its cool no shame to your game. But dont cry foul when 3rd parties do the same thing through different means. You aint fooling nobody when you preach ethics. If you get paid for your services to this site, would you consider donating a portion to Hasbro ?
