It's funny that you think you can last.

Me too. I'll be satisfied to get this design as Brainstorm.Nemesis Maximo wrote:The only reason I wont be getting Takara's Blurr is because I have the GenerTions version. Unless anew version is vastly superior to a previous version (Thrilling 30 Jetfire vs Classics), I don't upgrade. And I love the drift redeco version of Blurr.

You can on price and availability. I'm going hasbro because I don't need to spend extra money on extra paint.

I know, this is freaken insane. While I was totally ok getting tha Hasbro version, I just feel I am getting so much more out of this. This is clearly somethign I can treasure for the years to come while I find headless hasbro versions at thrift stores.Wolfman Jake wrote:Takara Tomy's version ended up so much better, it's not even funny. I agree and hence why I will probably get this. Even if that shipping cost aint cheap, I wont care in the years to come as I marvel at it.Randomhero wrote:Wolfman Jake wrote:Takara Tomy's version ended up so much better, it's not even funny. Wait what? Availability? How? Look at the combiner wars thread, every 5 pages or so its just a comparison of what some states and countries get and what others dont. Ask any canadian about Hasbro's Gen Arcee or anyone in England about Wave 3 of Combiner Wars. There is absolutely no logic as to what you will get and when and where from hasbro. Takara has a standard street release date and you can always be sure to get them if you preorder them.
Also that price statement is wrong too. You are getting an extra vehicle with Takara's and it's price is actually 22$ US http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail ... agecnt%3D1
That is the legit price you would find him at retail in Japan. Hasbro's at retail (if you find him ) would be 17.99$ + 4.99$ for that vehicle and titanmaster. So 22.98$ USD. Meaning that looking at the price, the Hasbro version would be 1$ more and give you an extra titanmaster. And of course, you dont get any of that awesome paint.
So the Hasbro one loses on all accounts objectively, and being as global and general as possible.

But Stylor is based on IDW Chromedome's head

No, you have to buy a separate figure for them. Case in point, Skullcruncher comes with Crashbash, but shockwave comes with the specialized headmaster that forms the lower jaw for crashbash's dino mode.

Blurr and scourge do not come with the extra vehicle only hard head and skull cruncher do so you are definitely paying more for Takara than Hasbro this time.
-Vehicle x1
-Headmaster x1
-Weapon x1
-Instruction paper x1

Thanks for correcting me man So yes, Hasbro definitely wins with price, no question.
This is what confused me by the way, here is the item description from amiami:-Vehicle x1
-Headmaster x1
-Weapon x1
-Instruction paper x1
The vehicle turns out to be the vehicle mode of the headless robot. I guess they seperated it since they wantd to list the headmaster seperately and didnt want to write just "body". But it did confuse me and now I feel a bit dumb. So knowing this now, is this still worth it
