I know other people had to have brought this up.

But if we're not going to get a proper Trypicon (not saying we're not, just that one doesn't seem to be on the horizon) I wonder how a Typticon retool of Sky Lynx would go over. Especially if you give him his own team of limbs.

Full Tilt - Swindle Redeco
Brunt - Brawl redeco
Wipe Out - Breakdown redeco
Fasttrack - Rook redeco
Iguanus - Legends Groove redeco (I know, but his color scheme and reptile theme would fit)

Hasbro probably wouldn't do this but if it was a Botcon box set, I'd snap it up.

There's a big Metroplex sized hole in your theory! let me explain! Just for arguments sake.....say we go with the Sky Lynx mold for Trypticon(heavy retool of course!) Swindle would be the WRONG SIZE to use him for the chestpiece! better to go with Blackjack/Rodimus figure as Full Tilt! but.....If Trypticon is titan size(most likely of senarios) THEN Swindle would be the correct size for the chestpiece! although I still still don't believe Swindle quite fits the bill as Full Tilt....better to use one of the CW Stunticon sports cars for him.

The only thing better is if they remade this as the promo poster, and made it totally heavy metal.

Yeah, but they couldn't do that exactly, cuz then they'd have to release a scorponok too ;)

Which would still be nice..... :BOT:

Yeah, but it would be an expensive year for you guys if they made them both titan class, and released several in one year, and, let's be honest, no one here would hear the end of it ;)

There has been worse. Last year, hasbro unveilled a list of 30 exclusive TFs collectors were meant to collect for the 30th anniversary. These were two of them:

Not only was it 2 titan figures, it was of the same damn character. Interestingly enough, there wasnt much of an uproar or despair, just lack of excitement and dissapointment.

Yeah, but we all knew that that list was a joke, it was the thrilling 30's generations line up we were supposed to care about >:oP

Haha, yes and I feel it accomplished what it set out for (the standard gen thirlling 30 line). I still cant believe how lazy that list was. It's like a rep was assigned to come up with something, so he just researched what was exclusive that year and made a nice photoshop. I mean come on, TWO metroplexes?!??! And plus, for the year AFTER Metroplex was released?! :-x

Yeah, he could've been even lazier and assigned the slots to the generations figures, and we would've thought it was the best thing ever; that's actually what I thought that list was, since every gen figure had the #/30 on the side of the box...

That some of the toys on the list don't have numbers on the box, that other toys exist that say "Thrilling 30" on them yet don't appear on the list when suitable to and there is duplications.

So yes "A MESS" sums it up.

---

The other thing is that did they even get the point across to the consumer that they were celebrating the entire Transformers line all 30 years of it... as if they were trying to do that I think they didn't quite succeed.

For example - No Pretender and not a lot in the way in a celebration of many other keylines like Beast Machines, Armada and Energon & Cybertron.

I would think a reissue gift set/recolour of Cybertron Optimus would be easy enough - perhaps they are saving him for a "year of" toy.

I guess it was to much to expect something like say Armada Superbase Scourge, or Energon Scourge (either size).

---

But in General yes simply Numbering the Generations line would have worked better. at least then it looks like they were trying a bit by virtue of things like Rattrap, Waspinator, Rhinox, Whirl, Tankor, Armada Starscream, Brainstorm, & Skybyte.

Yeah, I wrote off on the chest piece deal because I don't think the Sky Lynx mold uses one. I just went with characters associated with Trypticon (plus one partner of fellow citybot Scorponok) and whatever molds best suited them.

So this is really happening I guess; CW is ending and we're not getting any 'extra' limbs for the 2 additional torso's that we're getting!?!

Talk about flying in the face of your much touted 'playstyle' I mean, you can say the same for the :BOT:'s, but I consider the '84 teams extra, either because you don't need the torso (or b/c you want to keep skylynx seperate...), or b/c you want to get some and mix'n'match them together, this is such bullsh!t :-x

I'm not a hard fan to please, I want :CON:'s and cool looking figures...

While I can believe that they'd mess that up, I really didn't want them to...

While most of the cw figures are 'cool', they're not 8-), or even :michaelbay:, they're just paltry and/or G1 at best; oddly enough, Rook and the 'violent axe-murderer stunticon' ended up being some of my faves because hasbro had the room to get creative with them.

F%ck all of this [-(

Isn't Skylynx coming out at the same time as Wheeljack, Hound, and the others?

[Edit] Or are you talking about another torso. I was thinking Computron Scattershot and Skylynx are the last two....

I meant that the '84 are 'extra' cuz they're not 'g1' and can go on any torso, you can get them and not o/p cuz there's 2, or keep skylynx separate. You could then put them on scattershot, and such; but we're not getting any decepti-limbs, so you have to choose to use mm, bruticus, cyclonus or demolisher (if he is indeed legit) The :BOT:'s get 2 sets of 'non-kosher' limbs to drop on anyone and the :CON:'s get nothing.

So why should I bother getting any of the spare torso's hasbro?

I woulda loved some seekers (preferably the ones that don't get much publicity: nacelle, sandstorm, hotlink, acidstorm, and such - skywarp can get away with it cuz: paint scheme) It seemed like such an elementary set of repaints, how did it not happen :BANG_HEAD:

:BANG_HEAD:

Still leaving this line with feeling that I got shafted, I really can't argue any other way; it's sad, I love combiners more than anything, but this was a weak and half-a$$ed way to end it... demolisher, really, they really couldn't think of any other missle-truck :CON: :BANG_HEAD:

I don't disagree with your thoughts on limbs, but we did get the main 3 guys in Leader sizes. Well, Skywarp is still in the works, right? I hope so, because, like you said, "paint scheme." ;)^

They definitely weren't worth it, I don't really do leader class anymore, they're a scam; but really, the fliers have gotten no use (aside from alpha-repaint)

I wonder if some 3rd party is secretly beavering away on things like an F-4 Fireflight, F-15 AirRaid and F-16 Skydive as we speak..... Heck I'd not mind to much if someone made a different Helicopter mould too (mainly for Vortex- but also as Rotor) and if they are feeling brave they could even do the Stunticons original car modes (someone did make the new Motormaster torso after all and suggested they'd do the limbs as well). If they are unsure where to start I bet there is demand out there for Technobot limbs for sure.

Okay been gone a while, going to sound off my opinions nice and quick!

Hardhead - Looks amazing, my only complaint is that they didn't give him his mouth.
Skullcruncher - Awesome looking, kind of hope we get a redeco as BW Soundwave or BW Megatron someday.
Rewind - YES! OMG YES! A thumbdrive/phone and a space-tank! Plus the obvious repaints into Eject and other cassettes!
Stripes - Bleh, never liked the idea in the first place.
Galvatron - OH HELL YEAH! Only thing I'm concerned about is the gimmick with the flip up crown...
Sentinel Prime - Awesome looking...but I don't like how bright he is, I might hold out for the Astrotrain repaint on this guy
Blaster - Incredible looking, they outdid themselves. But I just hope they didn't sacrifice anything for the base mode...
Terribull - Seems pointless without a compatible transtector/body...
Nightbeat - Seems pointless without a compatible transtector/body...
Crashbash - Seems pointless without a compatible transtector/body...
Loudmouth - Seems pointless without a compatible transtector/body...

They help 'fill out' the base mode, I like them, I'm getting the overkill (crashbash, right?) to replace skullcrunchers weird face, and really, its a nice ability: find a head you like, stick it on the body you like, G1 be d@mned, I look forward to seeing who else they release like this.

(and it's thought - on here - that their bodies will be released at a later date with different heads, so you can choose which you like best)

Firstly, come on Madeus Prime, you are a seibertron veteran, I am surprised you chose this thread to write your remarks when we have a whole thread dedicated to Titans Return. It's best we continue ths discussion there so that those who do follow it can get your insight.

Secondly, I like the idea of heads sold individually since its a cheap option for kids to switch things around. I see this no different on a playability level for a new audience as the idea of releasing individual limbs instead of box sets for all combiners. Like that you can play the switch game and stay on a budget. And also, it really helps give you a spare head to the kids who lose though. Anyone collecting G1 toys knows how terribly rare the headmaster heads are (sine kids kept losing them) and I myself wish Hasbro would just rerelease a whole pack of substitute G1 heads so I wouldnt have to spend 50$ each time I want to complete a headmaster. Also, part of the transfomrers governing group at Hasbro constantly rejected the idea of bringing headmasters back because of the lost heads and the complaints that would ensue from parents. I believe the titan master class is what we have to thank for, for this project to actually come to fruition.

Transformers Generations Combiner Wars Battle Core Optimus Spotted in North American retail

While the Combiner Wars fourth wave limbs and legends have been found at retail, the new torso (along with the improved Motormaster) has remained quite elusive. The Wave 4 Combiner Wars Voyager assortment has been found in Canada in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (you might laugh at the name but that was by far the easiest capital to remember back in canadian grade school). Both Downshift and welcometothedarksyde have spotted him and welcometothedarksyde has given us an image where we can see both Battle Core Optimus and the new and improved Motormaster which is reported to come with the ratchet hip fix. These should be on their way to the states if not there already so let your friends know in both the local sightings forum and the toy's sightings page.

Aren't we getting Powermasters & Targetmasters too? how about spare ones of those?

To me Saskatoon will always be remembered as the place with the ridiculous name where Bret Hart defeated Ric Flair for the WWF belt on a house show.

Oh man! And I am from Montreal, the place where Bret Hart lost his title and left the WWF!

I ended up getting battle core prime on Amazon because I wasn't confident in finding him. Glad he's being sighted.

I really recommend getting this guy. He has all the pros and none of the cons that motor master and the first Optimus has. Proper ratchets in the legs, good connections for the arms in combiner mode and blackjack/rodimus fit in the chest without falling out. Last one might be just mine but I say he's a must have
