I guess it would be, if jhiaxus looked anything like Armada thrust in robot mode. But he doesn't

In other news, Core Thundercracker and Deluxe Crosscut both leaked. Thundercracker looks exactly as expected and does have null-rays instead of Skywarp's tuning fork, and Crosscut looks...more red than I expected.

I got the pics from the TFW posts, which got Crosscut from Daimchoc and Thundercracker from a Chefatron review, and there are more pictures over there if the news team wants/needs them.

The coloring of Crosscut's head reminds me of Binaltech Asterisk Broadblast.

Crosscut looks nice color wise but I'm not a fan of the skids mold so I'll be passing on him.

Ya know, can Hasbro just release a stand that's compatible with Transformers already? Those stands they released for 6" figures are ok, but something we could just peg in would be great too.

There's that Tenseg Base stand that Takara released with the Optimus redeco of Kingdom Ultra Magnus's cab robot.

Looks like we get new reveals everyday, be they through leaks or people finding toys in stores. For today, we have 4 bots to show you, all from the Legacy Evolution line and some are first looks, like with deluxe Crosscut. As expected, this is a redeco of Legacy Skids with the Burnout head. He will be part of the second wave of Legacy Evolution deluxes along with Animated Prowl and the Junkion bike. We also have more images of core class Slug found on Instagram. Adding to that is a video showing the transformation. In it we see that the combiner head is parts formed like in the glorious days of G1 combiners. We have 2 more videos too, both from Chefatron. One is a review of Prime Skyquake and the other is of core class Thundercracker, giving us our best look yet at the upcoming figure. Enjoy!

I like my T30 Crosscut, so I will pass on this one, but I like the additional red.

Thundercracker will be necessary, i have the other 2 seekers already.

Slug looks good, I am liking him more and more. I look forward to forming core Volcanicus

Oof, Crosscut's red wheels are an abomination. And since the rear ones are pinned there's no easy way to swap them out. Would rather have less red all around if it meant having black wheels. Also there is no way this guy fit the paint budget of a single figure. All the black you see is painted over red plastic, a lot of the silver is also painted including the entirely of the car shell as it's a mix of gray, red and clear plastic. Surely they could have used black plastic and painted whatever parts they need to red and given us a better looking figure than this disasterpiece.

About Metalhawk, I think he's going to be an entirely new mold based entirely on the inner bot. The whole "bot mode looks like the shell" thing really only works for the Decepticons monsters with more interesting faces. I also think they'll have a second use built in, maybe as a year 3 character, possibly even a pre-tool that suits the mold better.

Since Skywarp came with a fork, it's too bad Thundercracker won't come with a spoon.

The wheels are red because they are on the same plastic tree as the other red pieces. All those pieces will either be red or black.

Then the sprue tree is screwed up if someone thought red wheels was a good idea on a car. Ugh. Definitely will have to figure out a way to fix it when I get one in hand. Those red wheels look atrocious!

Crosscut's red wheels are fine, if you look at it as an homage to that one Hot Wheels show They're not great, but I can live with it since he's gonna be in bot mode most the time anyway

That sounds like settling. I'm not into settling. It looks bad. I'd rather call a spade a spade instead of sugar coating it.

Not quite like G1. It conceals inside his weapon in robot mode, which is his tail in alt mode. It never has to be set to the side like a G1 combiner's head.

Crosscut has existed since 2002, and previously got a second toy in Generations back in 2014.








The G1 Skids mold had a lot of redecos and remolds in the original Diaclone line:

I can't believe there's still people complaining about repaints nowadays. The complaints should have peaked and ended in 1984 at most.
