I agree with you on that. Hell, just adding white to the Autobots options would be enough for me. My main Autobot Scout is Arcee and she just doesn't look right without white as her secondary color. Also, naked Ultra Magnus. (I could have sworn one of the early trailers for Multiplayer showed Optimus prime with a white paint job)
On the other hand, color is a way of distinguishing friend and foe. A blue and red bot with red neon lighting is clearly an Autobot, for example. The Scientist's Disguise ability actually takes advantage of this, changing you to the opposing team's colors.
Although the body type and name tag is an even better way of telling friend from foe.
Disguise is garbage. It only works at long range. At mid to close range it's like saying "Okay, I barely snuck up on you. Please shoot me before I can launch my sneak attack." Drain/Shockwave and Sentry for Scientists. Sentry is a must and the other two are both very good and suited for different builds. Also once you've seen the Player do anything other than use disguise it's really obvious.
The only way to fix Disguise is for them to patch it to where you also get the other faction's skin. Because when you use disguise you're adopting the color scheme you set for the other faction of that character slot. Appearing to the other side as the Autobot/Decepticon version of the character you're not using (Like Spy in TF2) would make Disguise a viable tactic and not a waste of space.
Counterpunch wrote:I agree. Disguise is trash. People don't look at the color or shape of their targets, they look at the red cursor and when they see red cursor, they shoot. Disguise is like cloak-lite.

The point is, use Scientist like they should be used...as the MVP of Conquest mode. Holy crap Scientist is great in Conquest. Jet to point, take. Jet to midpoint, sentry, wait, shockwave, etc. By the time your teammates arrive, you'll be in really good shape. Scientist is good at taking and securing points as well as harrying the enemy when you've got control.
Taking Scientst into Team Deathmatch and trying to be a flying Scout is a great way to have more deaths than kills.

EDIT: There's also the fact that, unlike the Scout's Cloak, Disguise will fool Sentries. It also prevents anyone from getting a lock on you.

Waiting won't do you much good. It doesn't matter when you buy the game, you still have to buy the DLC separate. Even then, we don't know when the DLC is coming out, it could be months from now. And also it's a really damn good game. DLC or no, it's still something you shouldn't deprive yourself of, like air, but better because air doesn't have giant robots that turn into cars.
Yeah, especially considering the con map is nearly impossible to get past wave 6 I'm all for new maps for sure. Variety for the win!Blurrz wrote:Need more Escalation maps...

Also, is there any announcement for future patches? I've heard 360 already has been patched, whereas PS3 hasn't even received an update yet.
Can't tell if High Moon is really gonna support this beyond DLC or not.
