Energon Overcast's instructions have appeared on Hasbro's website today, in .pdf format, and he is AN AUTOBOT according to them. However, there's no word on what his color scheme will be, probably something similar to Takara's Skyfire (Skyline) Sonic.
See all of the Instructions

For my grand finale...
I've gotten wind from several of my more reliable sources (by "reliable" I mean "people who DIDN'T inform me that Jetfire was being reissued or that Armada was being cancelled) have informed me that the Transformers convention license has been given to a new company. While I can't say who it is (because, quite honestly, I don't know) I can tell you who it ISN'T. 3H. Just in case a few of you hadn't heard, not only was 3H stripped of the license in September, but Hasbro is taking legal action against Glen Hallit's (president of 3H) company to clean up the absolute mess he made of it. Weather it turns out to be Master Collector or The Hartmans and Pete Sinclair, they have their work cut out for them restoring fan's faith in a convention that has been run screaming into the ground by earth-shatteringly inept and business illiterate that is Glen Hallit. Best of luck to whoever has the license.
Look forward to 2005 everybody,
-Professor Smooth

While watching "Megas XLR" last night, CN aired a commercial advertising "Static Shock" at 6:00pm, EST, during Miguzi.
"But wait!", you say, "That's when our beloved (maybe) Energon is airing, finally, after months of being
banished to the depths of 6AM, after only
two weeks! Sigh..."
It's unclear if this is a mistake, or if Energon is moving to a new timeslot, or being canned all together. We'll keep you informed.

Icon45 of
has reported a rumor given by IESB.net.
"IESB.net has posted a rumor concerning director Robert Zemeckis and the upcoming live-action Transformer movie. According to the report, even though Don Murphy posted on his forums that Zemeckis turned down the offer initially, there are rumors that he is turning down other director roles because he is attached to the Transformers movie. Related to this rumor, there is another stating that Warner Bros. has asked that no update be posted concerning this until after the Polar Express movie release."

Here's one for you guys and gals to mull over.
Sources say that the recent Cybertron Leader show may not be Optimus Prime, but named VECTOR PRIME. If you remember, VP was recently copyrighted by Hasbro. Word is, the image that floated around last week was actually a combined robot, which may people guessed at. This figure will be called Vector Prime. It's unclear if the smaller robot is still Optimus or something like "Vector"...
Also, rumor has it that two of the Wave 1 bots will be Hot Shot and WindCharger...

From the people who brought you the "Takara to Reissue more Gestalts" rumor comes "More Takara Reissue Rumors." I've heard from more than one person that Takara's Special Edition reissue of Predaking will lead to more reissues outside of the Transformers Collection line. The gestalts may find there way into the line, but so may other fan favorites. On the short list of figures Takara might be looking to throw at fans are the City Formers, Metroplex (Metrotitan), Trypticon, and the Maximus family (Fortress and Grand).
The odds of a Fort/Grand Maximus reissue seem rather slim at the moment. Takara's not doing to hot financially, and (believe it or not) two foot robot toys are not exactly cheap to manufacture. However, they have recently busted out the Maximus mold to produce the Robotmasters' Lucky Draw Brave Maximus, so the possibility is there.
Would the same fans who are turned of by the 150 dollar asking price of Predaking be willing to drop 200 dollars (or more) for Fortress Maximus? How about Grand Maximus?

The Smooth One has heard rumblings that Takara (who lost a whopping 30 MILLION USD last year) may be releasing some of the more "no brainer" figures fans have been demanding for years. The gestalts.
If this is true, it's a smart move for Takara. The demand for the gestalts (that's "combiners" for the two kids in Atlanta that didn't know) is always high. Why? Because they were the best of the G1 figures? Nope. Because they were miracles of mid-eighties toy design? Hell no. Because people like a bunch of small crappy robots combining into one bigger less-crappy robot? YES! Takara's already taken the first step towards actually selling a couple of figures (they lost 30 Million USD (Over one hundred gajillion yen) this year). They bit the bullet and brought out the Predaking mold already. The molds for the Seacons are readily available, and (as anyone who's been in a Wal-Mart since 2001 knows) Bruticus has been BEGGING to get the reissue treatment. If Takara releases them in the G1 colors, slaps 'em in a gift box, and applies some die-cast metal where necessary, fans would be more than happy to shell out the cash for 'em. Once they've got the fans hoppin' with the gestalt bug they reissue Devastator, Superion, Menasor, and Abominus to a public dying to fill the back row of their top shelf! Once the reissues are out, they've got enough e-hobby and Lucky Draw exclusives to keep ATB Megatron and Elvin Pena as broke as Glen Hallit! Come on, Takara, make this one of those rumors I DON'T get blasted for on ATT! Give us the gestalts!

Several rumours are beginning to circulate today, regarding the follow-up to Transformers: Energon/Superlink!
Although we know the US subtitle of the next series will be
Cybertron, word is that it's Japanese counterpart will be called
Galaxy Force. There is also the suggestion that the animation will be produced by one of the hottest animation companies around,
Gonzo (check out anime series such as Vandread and Yukikaze for examples of their work).
Finally,
this image has surfaced on the internet, and is rumoured to be the 2005 incarnation of.....well, I'm sure you can work it out for yourselves....

The Following is from Comic Book Resources:
...Dreamwave aren't all bread-in-the-oven smelling right now either. The double-headed James McDonough/Brad Mick creature left/was pushed out of Dreamwave after his attempts to reform the structure of the company failed. Adam Fortier would have gone a similar way too... but he left first and is now in a position where he could even turn down the Marvel position he was just offered.
Rumour has it Adam is starting a new comic book publishing venture, looking to publish professionals' projects, a la Image. Look for this to be announced in the next few weeks.
This seems unlikely at best.
