There were rumoured to be more tests screenings of Transformers Rise of the Beasts back in December. This was kept on the low since it was unverified. However, the shot of Bumblebee on the cargo plan that we saw in the Superbowl spot was specifically stated in the description of those screenings. So, we are giving you all that info now, for those who want as much of info as possible.
It was said that they were testing out different scenes with different audiences so the scenes and plot points mentioned below may be different from what we ultimately see in the film (which is also an easy out if all this is just made up). To preserve anonymity, the source will not be mentioned.
Final Action Scene with Bumblebee as One Man Army: In the final action scene, Mirage, Noah and Elena are racing across a bridge as the Terrocons and their army are overpowering all the good guys. At this point, Bumblebee drops from the cargo plan transformer when all hope seems lost and lays waste to the Terrorcon army.
Bumblebee and Mirage both get close to death: Bumblebee is "mortally" wounded but is brought back (as we can see from the scene previously discussed). Mirage is also brought very close to death. As he is about to die, he gives Noah an "exosuit" which contains his essence and later we see Noah fixing up a Porsche 911 which transforms back into Mirage right before the credits. there is a scene prior to Noah fixing the car where he is recruited by Sector 7.
This last bit brings back something we have been stressing a lot lately to temper expectations. While this film might not tie to previously established storylines of the other films, it can still carry over any element from them as well. In this case, sector 7. Of course, this scene may not be in the final cut.
Coming to us once again from PrimeVsPrime, we have a new review for an upcoming (though yet to be officially revealed) new figure, that of Studio Series 86 Leader Class Snarl. The fourth of the five Dinobots, Snarl is looking very accurate to his extremely brief appearance in the 1986 movie, and includes his sword as an accessory. His transformation, as PvP points out, is very reminiscent of his cartoon transformation, and includes some neat tricks. Check out some screenshots from the video, including comparisons with his most recent new figure, 2018's Power of the Primes Deluxe Class Snarl, as well as some sweet shots with the rest of the Dinobots released so far. And let's not forget the video itself!
So what do you think about this latest addition to the Leader Class Dinobots? Yay or nay? Let us know below!
There are new rumours afoot for upcoming 2024 Transformers toys. This time however, we don't have confirmation from shipment records or vendor lists so there is no consensus on which particular version of a character the list below may be referring to, so that has been removed to avoid confusion. They can be either from the live action movies (or Bumblebee intro) or SS 86. We will update if this list turns out to either be fake or further confirmed. The list was first published on the TFW2005 website.
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES CORE MOHAWK
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES CORE RUMBLE
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES CORE STARSCREAM
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DLX SCORPINOCK
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DLX SUNSTREAKE
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DLX WFC SIDESWIPE (High Moon game)
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES VOY WFC STARSCREAM (High Moon game)
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES VOY 86 SCRAPHEAP
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES VOY SHOCKWAVE
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES LDR MEGATRON
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES LDR TF86 SWOOP
And yes, while Hasbro did specify that Swoop would be the same size as the other Dinobots on Instagram, some fans were still being worrywarts, so hopefully this list helps in that regard.
Apparently, Sgt. Slaughter, a good friend of Hasbro's, let it slip during a convention that his character would be in an upcoming Transformers GI Joe collaboration. The transforming vehicle would be the Triple T and it would come with a Sgt. Slaughter O-ring figure. This is all just a rumour, but it has been circulating around the internet, like in the video below, so we wanted to let you know. Let us know which Transformers character you think could be used for the Triple-T and if this is an item that could interest you.
Thanks once again to the Instagram account of vicegripx we have more in hand images of two new bikeformers for the Legacy Evolution line!
First up, we have a slew of pictures of the upcoming Deluxe currently being referred to as "Junkion 2". We see a bunch of photos showing it off in bike mode and robot mode, giving us a good look at it's size, compared to the soon to be released Scraphook. There's even a couple of fun shots showing off the interchangeability EvoFusion gimmick associated with these new Junkion molds.
Next up is Transformers Animated Prowl, the Legacy subline's first foray into the Animated Universe. While there were some complaints about the highly stylized Prime Universe characters (Arcee, Bulkhead, Knock Out) getting a heavy makeover that took away a lot of the uniqueness of the Prime designs, it looks like a lot more of the Animated style has made it into Prowl's design. He shows off some very nice poseability as well.
What do you all think of these new figures? Tings have been fairly quiet on the official reveal front since the Deathsaurus final tally livestream, but here's to hoping we get some confirmation from Hasbro soon (and maybe a real name for the Junkion bike). Let us know what you think in the forums and stay tuned to Seibertron for the latest news, rumors and reveals!
We had seen that there are many collaborative projects coming up and now we have a rumour for the next one from JTPrime17. The next G1 Joe Transformers collaborative project is rumoured to be a Dreadnoks Soundwave that turns into the Thundermachine. This set would include an O-ring Zartan and Zarana, plus Ravage with chain. Of course, we repeat, only a rumour right now, and release plans are constantly changing.
For those unaware of what that alt mode is, it looks like the image below.
Great news for fans of G1 toys, we now know which toy is getting a G1 toon deco reissue after Hot Rod and Starscream. We had previously posted links to Asian retailers who sell Transformers toys yet to be revealed (like Magnificus) and some fans keep an eye on those listings and retailers to see when a new product can be ordered. TF fan Lazerwave ordered an upcoming Hound toy thinking it would be the Buzzworthy SS86 toy but instead they got the yet to be revealed G1 reissue in a cartoon deco. This is our first look at the toy. It includes the G1 accessories and die cast. It will come in a closed box, like the other 2 and also be a Walmart exclusive. We do not know which other G1 toys will be reissued in this line but it's good to know there is more coming. Which G1 toys (of a similar price point) would you like to see get a G1 redeco?
We had details from test screenings of Transformers Rise of the Beasts back in August but the details were hard to corroborate. They still are, though we definitely have more info regarding the movie now than we did then. So we are giving you that info now so that all fans have access to all the info possible. Here are a few things to note first:
1. This could all be fabrications
2. Avoid if you want no SPOILERS, even though this may be misinformation
3. Below is a composite of 2 viewers who may have had different cuts shown to them
4. As with test screenings, what is shown may be heavily changed for the final film
5. The sources will not be given to protect whoever transcribed this, if whoever transcribed this wants to be credited, let us know.
-The basic plot Synopsis is that the Autobots and Terrorcons are fighting over these "Transwarp" keys. The Autobots want them to [go] home, while the Terrorcons want them to bring Unicron to Earth
-There was one decepticon at the beginning. He was a generic no name, but he turned into a bus. Prime kills him in the beginning to give you that Bot vs Con feel.
-Optimus Prime will start the movie as being distrustful/aloof of humans, but will learn to care for them and become a protector during the film.
-Bumblbee isn't in it much. He talks radio like we're used too. Nothing specific about his past adventure, but he does try to tell Prime humans ain't all bad earlier in the film.
-Mirage is the human-friend of the film, meets Noah (anthony ramos). Reminded Source of Sam and Bee, i.e. the "stolen car" chase
-There is an implied past relationship between Arcee and Wheeljack, and there are sexual jokes that are weird and random
-The Wheeljack head change is unfortunately true. He has a generic autobot face with big dorky glasses, not like Que's.
-Heroes go to Peru/Machu Picchu via a cargo plane Transformer, to look for part of a key.
-The cargo ship IS Stratosphere. Our cut had him voiced by John DiMaggio with a Scotsman voice. [It sounds like] the actor who voiced Arcee in Prime did the voice in this movie too.
-[regarding the Maximals] Airrazor and Primal do most of the talking. Airrazor is a kind and wise maximal who is used to becoming exposition for our heroes. Primal is a proud warrior who is tasked to guarding on of the keys with Cheetor and Rhinox. He kinda mentors Prime a bit about being kind and trust humans. Cheetor and Rhinox are just there. Cheetor says a few lines and even calls Primal boss bot. Rhinox says one line and they all laugh it off like "You can talk?". They have their maximize moment, but the ps2 graphics that were their character models made them like all the same unfortunately. I'm sure that will be different when it's finished
-Action is great but gets messy
-[Airrazor] is attacked by the terrorcons and hacked, turns evil.
-Scourge, the main Terrorcon of the 3, activates a beam in the sky in which more enemies come out of. Maximals and Autobots fight and defeat them.
-There are no true Predacons. Only a bunch of Scorponoks (?) But they don't do anything other than be scorpions.
-The designs [of those scorpions] were original. They were larger than your average transformer
-[Dominique Fishback's character Elena] was SO bland. He character is a museum intern who wants to work for the museum and she has the knowledge for it, but that gets left behind completely. When all is said and done, she doesn't even get a little resolution at the end. She only there to read old maximal hyroglphs.
-No military [in the film]. Just suburban kids and robots. The main humans are Noah and Elena and Noah's sick brother as the largest support character. There's other small roles obviously, but those three are the most important
There is also a report of a midcredit sting with Unicron. Interestingly, there is no mention of time travel, so what we, and other publications, suggested here might not come to pass afterall.
We published an article the other day to set up expectations for the upcoming Transformers Rise of the Beasts film which simply meant to show that the ongoing debate of this series being rebooted or not was irrelevant IF it didn't change what many fans often begrudged the Live Action Transformers movies for. One week has passed and the article feels almost prescient since the trailer did indeed reveal that the film was not a clear cut reboot, with several visual call backs to the Bay films. And an article/interview from BET revealed more details about the human component which the trailer did not show much of.
So we have familiar live action visuals, some focus on the humans, but a Bay-style live action Transformers film would not be the same without a random MacGuffin. And guess what, we now have news of such a thing. On Battletrap's Studio Series toy bio, we learn that the two human characters will have an encounter with this villain when it hunts for the Transwarp Key.
Battletrap fires a barrage of blasts at Noah and Elena to secure the Transwarp Key.
Now will that be the main MacGuffin? What does the Transwarp key open? We don't know, but this gives you an idea of what the film entails since the teaser trailer gave us nothing plot related, which is typical of teasers.
The collectible retailer site Zavvi had a banner image up which has since been taken down, promoting the new Transformers toys for Rise of the Beasts. On it we see Battletrap and Bumblebee figures. This is our first look at the new Bumblebee toy and while it seems to have a similar level of detail to previous Studio Series toys, there are two lines with movie deluxes coming out at a similar time, so it's not confirmed in which line he will be released. While we see Bumblebee in his robot mode, we can tell that his alt mode is the off road Camaro which he becomes later in the film.
There are a few newsworthy bits to take from this single picture. Firstly, the head sculpt features parts not seen on Bumblebee's head in the trailer, which include his antennas and side vents. So that means that either he had not finished transforming in the trailer, or that this face sculpt is based on an older character model.
Also, these being official renders means that their announcement is soon. Or at least, one would hope since we had renders of a new Hatchet and Hound figure for months and they are still not revealed. So we'll see.
Let us know what you think of this new toy and if you'd add it to your collection!
