There have been a number of updates the last few days about the filiming of Transformers 3, Michael Bay's latest and last film in his Transformers "trilogy", including new images from the final day in Detroit, information about the filming in Florida and Washington DC, and a message regarding the secrecy surrounding the film's international locations. There may be a minor spoiler below so proceed with caution.
On Monday, Tyrese Gibson (aka Sergeant Epps) confirmed on his
Twitter page that the filming in the Motor City has officially come to a close. His tweet reads:
"Detroit.... Were ALL DONE in your town.. God bless you ALL we were ALL treated with the best of respect and love... "
On the same day, Tyrese also posted a very cool image on Twitter of him with Optimus Prime's driver from all three films.
The photo caption reads:
"Ladies and Gents this is the guy thats been driving Optimus Prime in Transformers for ALL 3 Movies.. Wow!!"
Also from Detroit, images of the final day of filming there have been posted to the
Transformers Live Action Movie Blog, again by member J1000. The photos include some last shots of the NEST team members-including Josh Duhamel (aka Major Lennox)-on set and the clean-up in the aftermath of the filming.
One interesting detail from J1000's post is that staff members on set confirmed to him that the thruster section prop we've seen in many previous pictures will be a Decepticon ship. From the post:
"She said it would take place 18 floors up, when Sam would jump onto the ship, and the bluescreen would be replaced with Chicago skyline. Another crew member said "Did you guys see the Decepticon ship?"
This of course is still not yet official nor do we know whether this "ship" will be a character or stand alone vehicle so treat this as a rumor for now.

here to view the entire album and read the full details.
With filming completed in Detroit, the crew has moved on to Florida to begin their work along the state's "Space Coast". The filming started today, September 29th, and is expected to run through October 5th.
The Walton Sun, the local paper in Fort Walton Beach, reports that filming will take place at Northwest Florida Regional Airport and Hurlburt Field. In the article, a spokesperson for the Air Force Special Ops Command at Hurlburt Field says:
"They’ll be showcasing Air Force personnel as well as the CV-22 Osprey on Wednesday (today). The filming is not open to the public, the media or base personnel.”
No details yet on whether any of the main cast members will be part of the filming there. However, given that the crew is staying at the La Quinta Inn during the shoot, it's highly unlikely that Rosie or Shia will be spotted.
EDIT: New news from Florida. TF3 filming is also slated to take place at the Kennedy Space Center this week. However, that shoot is apparently on hold right now due to bad weather. Central Florida station
Channel 13 reports:
"Scenes from the upcoming sequel “Transformer 3” are scheduled to begin filming Wednesday at the Kennedy Space Center -- but heavy rain in the area could steal the scene... There has been no word on whether showers, storms or the nearby tropical system would keep filming from happening."
Hopefully things will clear up in time so that the scenes at Kennedy can make it into the film. The article also includes an email address that FL locals can use to submit resumes to in the hopes of being selected as an extra in the film.
"If you’d like to work on “Transformers 3,” or possibly even be in it, email your resume and experience to: tf3fla@gmail.com."
Once filming wraps Florida, the TF3 crew will be packing up and moving on to Washington DC. From local website
TBD.com, we're starting to get more details about Bay's invasion of the Nation's capital. In the article, Josh Friedman, a spokesman for the D.C. film office, says:
"It looks like Transformers 3 is now locked in for the week of October 11. Mostly the same locations as previously reported, but there are a few items that are still being finalized. Once all of the details are locked in, in the next few days, public notifications (traffic alerts, etc.) will be going on from various agencies with more information."
The article also goes on to speculate that a few of the locations in DC will include the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and the Red Cross building. Expect to hear more here once details are finalized and filming begins.
And finally, after filming wraps in the US, the crew is expected to travel to several international locations to complete principle photography. In the spring, Michael Bay had mentioned filming in Africa, China, and Russia. However, in response to a post asking about specific location details on
ShootfortheEdit.com, site admin Nelson posted:
"International locations and dates are not being released due to security issues."
Hopefully when filming overseas begins, alert fans will post some pictures and details so we can confirm where these locations are.

While reading this probably won't ruin any of the movie plot lines for Transformers fans, this tidbit of information could be a spoiler none the less. A new post on the Transformers Live Action Movie Blog has confirmed that the name of Patrick Dempsey's character in Transformers 3 will be
Dylan. The name had apparently been the subject of past speculation, but new evidence in the form of a call sheet from the new film appears to confirm it. The call sheet references "Dylan's Penthouse" which was shot in Trump Hotel during principle filming in Chicago. As we know from earlier movie reports, Dempsey's character is a successful race car driver, so owning a penthouse would seem appropriate. To check out the original article, click

How many of you love
Transformers Power Core Combiners Huffer? How many of you bought an early version and wished that his hood matched the color of the rest of his body's orange color?
Wishers for the color change may be in luck!
It appears that early purchasers may have gotten the unmatched color scheme, but newer purchasers, such as the
Allspark's 4-Lom and Silent_Magnus are seeing versions which are now matched, and trying to make connections as to whether this is a running change over time, or a change based on country/or location.
(
image belongs to Silent_Magnus)
Does this mean you are going to go our searching for a new PCC Huffer, or are you happy with your two toner? Do you know more about this change, and or the pattern involved with the change? Say your piece in your comments to this news.
There's some previous PCC Huffer talk in
this thread, but if you want more PCC discussion, check the
Toys Forum.

Fellow fansite tfw2005's member "Sidecutter" has posted this interesting message he's been sent via e-mail from one of his suppliers:
Some additional news regarding the MP Bumblebee that
we would like to pass on:
There will be three versions globally of this figure. The Japan
release will be painted in yellow to match the movie character.
The Hong Kong release will be painted in a metallic yellow.
The North America release will be unpainted, but the outer parts
are molded in yellow.
So there will be two versions produced by TakaraTomy, a mate version for the Japanese market and a metallic Hong Kong exclusive, This explains why the images we've seen of this toy keep varying in respect to shininess.
The North American release mentioned in this message is the already released
Battle Ops Bumblebee.

It appears as if the long awaited Diamond Select busts of Sunstorm and Power Master Optimus Prime have been cancelled. At least that is their status on
entertainment earth, however they are still listed as pre-order items on bbts while Diamond Select lists Sunstorm still as a pre-order with no trace of PM Optimus Prime. So ether bbts and Diamond Select haven't updated their pages yet or entertainment earth decided not to stock them after all. No matter what the case we'll keep you updated.

Hasbro have applied for four new trademarks: "SPARK YOUR SUMMER", "AUTOBOT ALLIANCE", "DESTINATION EARTH" and "UNLOCK THE SECRETS". Autobot Alliance is
the name being used by Takara for Hunt for the Decepticons figures and Spark your Summer is reminiscent of
Transform your Summer from 2007 but so far no solid information is known about these trademarks.
The original story can be seen
