More Studio Series Reissues Coming Including SS 38 BB Movie Optimus Prime

The recent news of Hasbro reissuing leader class DOTM Optimus Prime (which can still be preordered here) proves that Hasbro is aware of which reissues may be needed from fans. This specific toy was even brought up by Ben Yee during a round table discussion with Hasbro months ago. And now we have even more good news regarding hard to find Studio Series toys.

Fellow Seibertronian JT Prime posted that there are shipping manifests currently stating that Studio Series 38 Bumblebee Movie Optimus Prime is in US ports. So this means that this toy is also getting a reissue. Studio Series Movie 1 Megatron is also said to be in ports. With ports being backed up, there is no specific time known for when these will hit stores.

All these toys sold very well previously and those who didn't get them are paying premiums on the aftermarket (even that Megatron will now cost you over $50 + shipping) so it's nice to see they are getting reissued. We hope this is good news for you!

An online seller selling unreleased and even unrevealed toys currently has all the 15th Anniversary Autobot 5-pack for sale. BUT they also have a Megatron figure for sale, labelled as "Megatron pack 5" which is the same designation they give the figures from the Autobot 5-pack. Now this is not a guarantee that we are getting a Decepticon 5-pack, since this site is not reliable in the name of the toy and there are no other Decepticons listed. But it is a first sign that we may be getting a 5-pack, hence why we are sharing this with you. There is no picture of the actual Megatron toy, just a stock image of a previous release. The idea of a Decepticon 5-pack is interesting though since unlike with the Autobots, it isn't certain what this 5-pack would entail as there were more than 5 prominent Decepticons in the film.

We know Hasbro loves its redecos, and the fans love them too. Perceptor has 1 very obvious redeco that serves two purpose. A black redeco serves as a callback to the original Microman version, known as Magnificus, as well as the Shattered Glass version. We have a listing of Shattered Glass Perceptor on Shopee right now. The image they use is the one in the thumbnail and this is our first sign of this redeco coming out. While it was practically inevitable, the fact that it is available to order here means it is on the way and done production.

In yet another case of a figure being found at retail before ever being officially announced by Hasbro or Takara, Deluxe Class Legacy Minerva has been spotted in the wild. But what makes this sighting a bit strange is that it was found at a Walmart in Colorado, rather than at Walgreens, where it's been assumed she will be that chain's exclusive toy this year.

EDIT: While this toy was found at Walmart is is most assuredly a mistake and will not be found at Walmarts across the country. The toy did NOT ring up at the cash and the customer needed assistance to buy the product under another code. So, most of you will have to wait until this toy is sold by Walgreens during the holiday shopping season. Here is what Blaster Mister wrote regarding the transaction:

"So what exactly happened was. I rung her up and it error and had to wait for a associate. He came over and scanned her again and typed the upc on the checkout but it didn't work. He then just looked up the upc in his device and he said it came up and it was just the Hasbro logo and was about to scan that for normal deluxe price."







Minerva is a character formerly exclusive to Japanese G1 continuity, and is noteworthy for being the first Transformers toy ever to be released as a female character. This marks not only her first transforming toy in 34 years, but her first ever toy to be released in Western markets. She's a redeco and new head retool of Legacy Deluxe Class Wave 2's Elita One (who as of this writing, hasn't been found at retail).

As can be seen from the images above, we have the first look at Minerva in her packaging, as well as the barcode on her box, and the assortment box she came in.

Wow, wave 1 of the Velocitron line hasn't even been released yet and we already have a leak for wave 2. TFW2005 user Monari has posted these images of the never before seen toy in their possession. It is an homage to Go Bot using a yet-unseen combination of Kingdom body with Siege Holo Mirage head while also visibly having parts cast in different base plastic colors from the Kingdom figure. You'll let us know what you think of the figure. We thank Nemesis Primal for clueing us in on this leak and the details.

We had big reveals lately but there's one part I forgot was coming and that is all the listings for the next year which we get at the half year mark. Thanks to fellow Seibertronian JTprime17 and TF fan HyperShauta, we have listings of the second wave of the Velocitron line. As with the previous line, it has characters from all sorts of Transformers or Trasformers ajacent worlds together, like Crasher from GoBots, Shadow Striker from Cyberverse and voyager Hot Rod from some aspect of G1 (maybe a movie inspired redeco, purely speculation). These listings come from Walmart, which is the exclusive outlet for these toys.

We had big reveals lately but there's one part I forgot was coming and that is all the listings for the next year which we get at the half year mark. No pictures of course, just listings, but it is the first inkling of figures to come.

While there are a lot of listings to go through, all found through Walmart thanks to fellow Seibertronian JTprime17 and TF fan HyperShauta, I chose Tarn as the one in the header because he is a long time coming. Also, unlike every other listing, this would be the first official transforming toy for this character. While this could always be a fake, we wanted to share an image that has been making the rounds on Facebook. It is of MP-56 Trailbreaker. Takara had announced that they had MP Trailbreaker and Hoist in their sights years ago and we are finally seeing it now. A new image in Discord popped up showing what fans believe to be Transformers Studio Series Sideways. We knew the figure was coming but there was no clue on the robot mode, especially since we never get a good look at it in the film. It appears to be a fully new mold which is intriguing for a character with such short screen time. He did appear in the video games though and his weapon seems based on his PS2 appearance. Now it could be that this toy is to legit, especially since it seems to have rather simplistic engineering for some joints. We'll see. Here are some points brought up on our boards:

- He is slightly mistransformed, the chest portion with the headlights looks like it can rotate up to be more screen accurate.

- His window wings might be able to slide more centrally, it looks like they’re on sliders.

- His gun is actually based on his gun in the PS2/Wii game!
