Some interesting news about the different versions of Armada Optimus Prime that are being released. Only the large Optimus Prime figure will be able to connect with Jetfire. He will also be able to connect with another figure to be released later in the series. Deluxe Optimus Prime will be able to tow the larger Prime´s trailer, and will not have the matrix. The smaller, matrix-less Prime will be explained in at least one episode of the show.

When online toystores started offering Pre-Orders on RiD Fortress Maximus (otherwise known as Brave Maximus from the japanese Car Robots line) they listed the item as coming in original japanese packaging. Now that Hasbro can no longer sell the Car Robots overstock (due to it failing the drop-test) the figure will most likely not be coming in it´s original japanese packaging (which is good news for those who already own a japanese Brave Max). This, of course, begs the question, "Well then, how WILL it be packaged?" It won´t be in the Car Robots box, and I´m assured it won´t be in ´reissue´ style packaging. Hasbro seems to have no less than FIVE concepts (or ´mock ups´ if you will) for its release. One of the better concepts is to release it in a variant of the "Heroes of Cybertron" style package.
More as it becomes available

Rumours of a Build King exclusive repaint are running around the online community. Pictures of the yellow G2 Devestator-styled repaint can be found
here. Fact or fiction? Probably fiction, but time will tell.

Contrary to the original belief, Botcon 2003 will not be held in New Jersey, but rather at the Hyatt Regency O´Hare, in Chicago Illinois, July 25-27, 2003!

UPDATE!
According to sources, Hasbro changed the name to Apex Bomber as opposed to "Roller" however ´Roller´ is the name given on the HOC PVC fig.
Hasbro has decided to call the japanese figure known as Godbomber in Masterforce as "Roller" in the US reissue of God Ginrai (which, since it never got an actual release in the states, would be more like a FIRST issue rather than a reissue) scheduled to hit TRU stores in December.

They´ve started appearing in Toys R Us stores. Apparently, TRU is putting them out with their Armada (week 2) stuff.
Happy Hunting!

According to one of my sources, some of the already released Armada figures may have alterations made to later runs of the figure. Minor paint changes and the addition of some decals mostly. Hot Shot is said to be gaining some additional decals to add to his very plain car mode. More on this as it becomes available.

We´ve got news that Takara are considering the possibility of reissuing the super rare Targetmaster
Stepper in the near future. Stepper is a Japanese Exclusive that was never sold in the US before. Most fans will know him as the ´black repaint´ version of G1 Jazz. An original mint in package Stepper normally goes for $1,000+ on eBay!
More of this as we hear.

That´s right. One of my contacts informs me that The Armada leader has been spotted. If you´re in the area they´re in a Wal-Mart in Gurnee Illinois. For some reason, that area always gets stuff early.
Happy hunting!
