Galvatron 2??? weird.. I suppose we just have to wait to see where the Japanese take this storyline..
maybe Galvatron 2 is a black repaint of Masterpiece Megatron?

Otherwise, it's great news! I mean, a 12 page, fully coloured comic/manga for the product? It's awesome!

Convotron wrote:Oh no! I pre-ordered MP-01B from Robot Kingdom and they state that they "will not include any ehobby give-away if any.". Now my question is: Does this comic constitute as an ehobby "extra" or "give-away" product or is it included in the MP-01B's packaging like a sticker sheet, accessories, and instructions? Maybe I'm overreacting but I'm really hoping I don't miss out on the manga.

Attention Japan!
Please refrain from switching out coffee for crack cocain during your storyboard meetings.
"Clones" is not an answer for everything.

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. I don't know what I was thinking earlier this morning...had a freak out moment, hehe.(Note to self, do NOT drink more imported Japanese coffee.)
So,yeah, hmm, battle droid copies of Convoy? I'm not feeling that but there's 12 pages of comic to elaborate further and the fiction is just the icing on the cake for me. I'm just eager to have my first MP Convoy/Optimus and maybe I'll be able to score MP-01 in the future without paying too much more than original pricing.

Yeah, probably not. But feel free to credit me with the revelation if it ever comes true.

I also think that it would be great if an upgrade kit was created to make this black convoy into nemesis prime, though im warming to the autobot symbol and the fact that he is just a black variant of optimus, i mean, look how beautiful the car robots black god magnus turned out, and that doesnt represent anything evil atall

Note to everyone, Galvatron II is not the same guy as Megatron/Galvatron. In fact, this is the same Galvatron II from the Marvel Comics. He crossed over from that comic universe into the Japanese cartoon universe with a bunch of Warworlds at his disposal. Upon his arrival, Ultra Magnus was restored to life as Laser Ultra Magnus in order combat Galvatron II's threat. However, Laser Ultra Magnus could not defeat Galvatron II. But, by becoming upgraded into his Black Body once again, Optimus Prime took on Galvatron II and defeated him.

Since this is MP-01, he'll more likely have the Bumblebee and Starscream ones he had originally.Irken17 wrote:This has nothing to do with the comic, but does he still have those Grimlock and Megatron computer arm thingys or does it have a different picture?

MP-01B should be a slick player and have a different Fembot on each communicator display.

If its a limited run then £99 doesnt seem so bad but for a simple repaint I am on the fence on this one, despite my love of the Masterpiece range.

I pre-ordered MP-01B for $104 USD, granted the shippnig is about $35, but it's still a pretty darn good deal. I don't have an MP OP so 01B will be my first and unless I can really find an affordable MP-01, it'll probably be my only MP OP for a good long while.

Convotron wrote:I don't know if it's a limited run so at £99, I would say that if you already have a version of MP-01, you really don't need MP-01B unless you must have a black MP Optimus Prime.

I have 20th Anniversay Prime, MP Ultra Magnus and MP Perfect Convoy and Im not sure I could justify a 4th at that price if its a "normal" release. Limited runs are different.

Whenever I ordered Transformers from e-Hobby the comics were never included inside the package. They usually come in their own plastic pouch. Some folks who ordered e-Hobby exclusive Omega Supreme from online retailers were disappointed that the comic wasn't included.

D'oh! Just when I thought I was safe. Hmm...how much is the manga worth to me then?

If that's the case, I assume it wouldn't be included from BBTS either... Does e-hobby even accept overseas orders? I'm not sweating it too much as I assume it wasn't much of an option anyhow if it's exclusive to e-hobby...and really my interest in the mango comic would be minimal at best either way. Now a mango slurpee on the other hand...

Automaton Toys recently updated their MP-01B listing and noted the following:
Our supplier is not able to provide the E-Hobby leaflet/comic book at this time due to the unusual early release in Asia, two months before the official release.
With that said, this item has indeed an ETA of November 2009 at Automaton! Reserve yours today!
Please remember: no E-Hobby Comic Book/promo leaflet will be included with this item. If our supplier is able to provide them later, we will ship those to the customers who bought at least 1 E-Hobby MP-01 Black.
Thanks for reading!
So...I placed a pre-order for the MP-01B with Robot Kingdom due to the significant savings I would get but I do want the manga...
Just a heads up for any of you folks who have put in a pre-order with a store that is offering the November release of the figure!

That's cuz they wanted to hide the toy's identity as Megatron to keep the Megatron-to-Galvatron change in the G1 movie a secret.Amelie wrote:On a minor storyline point, if you actually read G1 Megatron's and G1 Galvatron's respective Tech Specs, they are very clearly different characters, even in the UK toy continuity.
