Artists take note...
Those rocks are from all over the world. In that collection is a piece of both The Great Pyramid, and The Collosium. Not to mention India, Korea, and so many other great places I've been blessed to visit.

What does that have to do with the topic?

Simple, why would I "spice up my desktop" with movie inspired art(that I have respect for as well as that phrase), when I have the bits of the world surounded in my tastes preluding my gateway to all its online knowledge!?!
I'd hope someone sporting a "DeatKlock" (best show since Beast Wars) banner could apreciate that.

Everyone has the right to their own opinion. I have the right to hate this movie and you have the right to like it(even if I can't understand how). You don't have the right to tell ANYONE to shut up about a current matter.

Bad colouring.
Utter crap designs.
I feel sorry for Don, having to draw such crap designs and then having it badly coloured by someone who can't ink very well...

I dont see anyone telling anybody to shut up, what I see is someone who notices that a lot of times when something new for this movie comes out that someone has to find something to complain about, no matter how minor it is, we all understand that it is not everyones cup of tea, however that doesnt mean that the constant whining isn't getting old

Sure, there's constant whining, but if no one speaks, nothing is changed or noted. Since it's already too late to be changed, there needs to be enough whining for someone higher up to take out a note pad and list the source of the complaint as a mistake. Bumblezzz called us childish for disliking the movie and told us to "grow up" in the effect of shut up. My post remains valid.

I never grew up with G1 either. I'm 14. I like G1, G2, BW, BM, RID, and the Unicron trilogy. I don't like the movie because it is Transformers in name only. The story isn't even remotely close to ANY Transformers series. The designs are hidious. Over half of the movie is about a teenage boy, a slutty girl, and a government cover-up. Optimus and Megs are brothers in this movie and Megatron is a friggin vampire. A movie about a franchise is ment to represent at least a half of it, while this movie fails to meet a quarter of it. That is why I don't like this movie and never will.

Everyone has the right to hate or love this movie. You don't have the right to tell people to grow up because it doesn't suit you. You like it, we don't. End of.
I'm 16. I grew up with the crapola. I went back and found G1, and I love every god damn minute of cheesyness it throws at me. Don't tell me or anyone else to shut up because it's not *ahem* our day anymore.

At least you had a supply of good English tea back then!
Not really, the USA rocks. And yes, as long as the story is as deep and involving as I found the Beast era to be, then this movie will do well. I hope it does. But the designs do look like turd.
And if you told a tf that it look like crap, it would
a) Squish you
or
b) just reformat itself.

G1 toys really sucked. the only good ones were soundwave and the cassettes. and G1 is not cheesy. I love G1 but I don't think of the film anywhere near G1 I think the film is a new story and it really is, so says Bay! i really don't give a care if they look like the love child of a terninater and I pile of shit ether. and second a pile of crap can have a baby and nether can a robot. Really people you all tell me to chill but yet you all need to too. (All who hate the film anyway).

Bay is full of crap. If he said child molesting was good 'cause he did it, would you agree? Tell me of one person that insults the item they are trying to sell. Bay didn't know anything about Transformers before the movie, and he probably still doesn't. He never even wanted to make a Transformers movie when he was asked, but he wanted to make another "Alien go BOOM!" movie and he needed a franchise on the front to sell it, so he changed his mind. Bay has shown no regard to the Transformers brand and absolouty NONE for the fans. To your last sentence, it's as I said at the begining of this conversation, you have no right to tell anyone to "chill" or shut up because they disagree with you. You need to stop telling movie haters to "chill", 'cause there are people that will flame the crud out of you. So practice what you preach, and "chill".
As for G1 toys, technology was limited in toys at the time, and the ball joint wasn't around until G2. Poseability wasn't even a major demand. Research other 80's toys for proof.
All new continualities contain some hint of G1. Beast Wars/Machines tied in with G1; RID was a combo of G1 and Beast Wars; Armada, Energon, and Cybertron were the best examples of a G1 reimagining, no matter how many disagree. Prime looked like Prime, Megs became a Tank like G2, and Starscream looked like Starscream. There was just a new twist in the mix. Through Energon and Cybertron, we saw Megs gradually change in form and personality. The same went for Starscream, as he became more like his G1 counterpart. G1 homage characters were made here and there, and new changes had decent explainations. This cannot be said for the movie, as most of the radical changes have no good explainations other than "They're alien".
A franchise movie is also supposed to represent the franchise as a whole. This movie does nothing to respect Transformers, but instead, they make it completely different. There is a member here(I won't mention names) that likes the movie and openly trashes everything else from G1 to Cybertron that actually admited to only liking gothic anime and demons. If they only like these things, then it shows what this movie represents. This makes me fear for the influx of fans like these who will openly welcome the movie and push for changing Transformers into their liking, killing what Transformers ultimatly is. If you want this to happen, I fear for the souls of the world...

What does that have to do with the topic?
And doesn't taking bits of national monuments fall under the heading of stealing relics?
Not that I personally care much, although it'd be nice if things were there for future generations unless they're, say, the Berlin Wall...
