Hope we get both Rumble and Frenzy, though. It would be disappointing if it want the same route as the Prid line with only Rumble.

I'm on the fence about this, already have the Ravage that came with Hound, and I've been tempted to try to track down the MP versions of him and the Red/Blue twins, but if Ravage's "other" mode is sweet, and Fremble end up as bikes like their Earth-based modes in the recent comics, I might bite.

We need him to complete the 1984 cast.
Would love to see a new Brawn(Swerve/Gears) alongside Beachcomber and Seaspray

And Wheelie would be nice. But let's keep that to ourselves.

Yeah I thought that was deliberate.
I wonder is she'll end up as one of the Fan Combiner team members?

Lots of other new rumored figures circulating suddenly, huh? I wonder how Wheelie will look? Will he be nice enough to replace the Legends one I already have, or will I remain content with it? Same goes for Ravage. As for Rumble, if he is the speculated about repaint of Groove, since I have no attachment to Rumble (or Frenzy) as a motorcycle, I'll stick with the one(s) I already have.
I could definitely use a new Lazerbeak and Buzzsaw, though! Booster X-10 is an okay stand-in for Lazerbeak, but not ideal. And I have no Buzzsaw at all in my Classics collection.

There is a Legends Brawn. Catch is, he is an older Legends figure, when they were a bit smaller and more simplistic, but he does exist. So you can have a complete recreation of the 1984 Autobots. He came out in 2008.
For that matter, you also mentioned Beachcomber, and 2008 also gave us that figure:
As for Seaspray, I suppose the closest we have is this 2010 Voyager class figure:
That all being said, would I object to a new Brawn up to the standards of what the Legends Class offers today? Sure, why not? But if that doesn't happen, it isn't as if the character hasn't been covered. Of the three you mentioned, I'd say that the one most desperate for a better update is Seaspray.

But also the least likely, based on the fact there's little to no repaint potential.
However, Powerglide was in the same boat, and we got Viper - are there any Joe hovercraft that look like Seaspray?

Since combiner wars is more or less following the current chronic runs all of these figures make sense. We'll get updates of these older figures, but it won't be Until this line is over.

They were bikes in the RiD/TF ongoing comic, so that wouldn't be a shock. Who knows, may even be remolds of Deluxe Groove?

The Insecticons are proof that not everything has to have repaint potential (unless the upcoming Chop Shop is a redeco of Shrapnel). In any event, Hasbro/Takara may be willing to fudge things a bit and use the Seaspray mode for any bot that has a vaguely aquatic mode (kind of like what they did with Huffer).

I've never really read any of the comics. My Transformers knowledge is mainly from toy lines or the G1 cartoon. Granted, the tanks I have are about as different from cassettes as motorcycles are. So I have no attachment to them as tanks, either! But for my own collection, I am happy with the Frenzy and Rumble I have. That's all I am saying.
If they do reuse a Groove mold to make new versions of Frenzy and/or Rumble? Awesome. Especially for anyone who still needs those characters. But they won't be toys I need, myself.
ScottyP wrote:Who knows, may even be remolds of Deluxe Groove?
Unfortunately, that I seriously doubt. While I will be quite happy to be proven wrong, I'm not holding my breath on seeing that mold used by Hasbro domestically.
Anyway, that newly rumored Frenzy came from a listing of Legends class figures, did it not?

Gears is screaming to be repainted as Brawn.
I wouldn't mind a new Hubcap
Posted by Sabrblade on June 2nd, 2015 @ 12:00pm CDT
Well, since Cliffjumper was a straight Bumblebee redeco, it's looking like they aren't willing to remold the headsculpt (likely due to it and the torso part it's connected to all being one solid piece), so a new Hubcap might end up being too similar to Bumblebee to make.leokearon wrote:I wouldn't mind a new Hubcap

Soundwave, using CW Motormaster
Rumble and Frenzy legs using Takara CW Groove
Lazerbeak and Buzzsaw arms using a new bird mold
Legends Ravage, that forms an animal crest in combined mode
I'd draw this... but I'm feeling lazy.

Pretty sure I've already seen both Lazerbeak and now Rumble listed as Legends. Also, while I will be happy to be proven wrong, I don't see Hasbro releasing the Deluxe Groove mold. Finally, given how the Combiner Wars line has been thus far, designing molds that have good multiple uses in mind, unless they have plans for a "bird mold" that would also be usable for another combiner (although I grant you Dive Bomb is a possibility if they plan on the Predacons), I don't see why they would design a bird mold.
Creative idea, but not one I see Hasbro doing.
Based on the listings we've seen thus far, if they do do a Soundwave, since all of his minions seem to be being done as Legends class figures, I see limited (if any)interactivity between them and Soundwave himself. They definitely won't be his limbs as a combiner.
I suspect, if a Soundwave is made from the Motormaster mold, that like Cyclonus, he won't have his own dedicated limb bots. Either they will downplay his being able to become a torso, or they will come up with some explanation for him to use the limbs of others that hopefully isn't too close to Galtatronus's mind controlling limb stealing power.

Emerje wrote:SillySpringer wrote:I think the Technobot voyager will be a remold of Silverbolt.
You're not the first person to guess that and I really, really hope that's no the case. Cyclonus worked because he looks like a very futuristic jet, but Scattershot has a very different look to him that would be very hard to replicate from the Silverbolt figure. His alt mode is more like a space battleship than a space jet. I'd be surprised if they can make a Scattershot that looks like Scattershot from the Silverbolt figure.
Considering that Superion's chest is already a little reminicant of Computron's, I would be suprised in the least. I don't expect it to be a straight repaint, but there is plenty of potential already there for it to work.

You would be surprised how well Primus can hold a pose. That cybertron mold (and line as a whole) is a model of modern engineering while maintaining simplicity. Most of the combiner war vehicles take from that hotshot mold 10 year later.

Your best odds for him are local places. Either yard sales, church sales, second hand stores, flee markets and local adds. What is great about him is that his guns are attached and his key is really big so the only thing you are usually missing are 2 missiles and maybe his key. Actually, e-bay has him loose for 30$ so that's fun, it makes up for the shipping cost to ship this giant. Here is the cheapest one that is complete. And if I you intend on playing with your figures, then there is no point getting them sealed MISB because they will lose all their value once you open the box. But then again, I know some people who want them super mint just to be the first to open them

Haha, no, but close enough. And by the way, there is nothing wrong with that. I bought 500$ comics just so I could see what it was like to read them in their original release (the reprints have white glossy back stock paper which makes everything look so much worse and dated for some reason).

Of the 175 some transformers I own, only my original Camaro Bumblebee was bought without a package. I like to buy my figures fully carded and mint. Nothing like opening a transformer yourself!

I bought the entire IDW run of transformers comics dating to 2004 2 weeks ago. That cost me $350 since I bought the IDW collections 1-8, Autocracy, Monstrosity, Primacy and Punishment and "Death of OP". I have all the RiD, MTMTE and Windblade ones, so it was a great feeling to get every single one and read them through. I loved reading everything and essentially getting up to date!

But really, the Classics Ravage we already have is pretty killer, I don't know what they could do instead.
Happy to be getting a Rumble that might actually be, y'know, released somewhere.
And as for Wheelie, they better do something awesome with him. The GDO Wheelie is hella cool, and honestly one of my favorite Transformers altogether. I know it doesn't make ANY sense for him to have the Jazz mold, but for some reason, that figure is just rad.
