Supreme Cheetor is still better because he actually transforms. All Grimlock does his bend over.

That's practically what SC does.
And Fortress Maximus.
And Metroplex.
Heck, when you think about it, the only "complex" supreme Transformer would be Cybertron Starscream.

What about Armada Unicron and Cybertron Primus? I'd say those two are somewhat complex.

What about Unicron? Or does he also fall under "yoga position"? At least Cheetor is still more poseable (even if he can't stand up).

Perhaps. But they're still not nearly as big as Fort Max or Metroplex.
I don't know if Stomp & Chomp Grimlock is useless... he's the only version of Grimmy big enough for AOE [Leader] OP to ride, isn't he?

I though size, in this case, did matter.

On a scale from 1 to 10, what's Leader class prime?

Does Cybertron Primus count as supreme class? Because hes more complex than Starscream
Posted by Sabrblade on July 5th, 2014 @ 7:51pm CDT
All of the following are Supreme class toys:
Beast Machines
* Electronic Cheetor
Armada
* Unicron
Energon
* Unicron
* Omega Supreme
* Omega Sentinel
Cybertron
* Starscream
* Cybertron Primus
(Metroplex comes close, but he was sold as a Leader)
Animated
* Roll Out Command Optimus Prime
Universe (2008)
* Unicron
Revenge of the Fallen
* Constructicon Devastator (IIRC)
Welcome to Transformers 2010
* Universal Dominator Unicron
* Creator Primus
Transformers (2010)
* 25th Anniversary Unicron
Platinum Edition
* "Year of the Snake" Omega Supreme
* "Year of the Horse" Supreme Starscream
There's also the similarly-sized but much more electronically gimmick-based Ultimate class Bumblebee toys from the first movie line and ROTF.
And the Generations Fall of Cybertron Bruticus toy made up of five Deluxes, making it almost but not quite as tall as a Supreme.

I would say 7, where ROTF Leader Prime is an 8 or 8.5 (in my book, anyway).

He was sold at the Supreme pricepoint. That should give you a hint.

I'll echo 7 if RotF Leader is a 9.
If you view the RotF Leader as an 8, well, then I'd say the AoE Leader Prime is a 5-6 or so on that scale. It's not a bad toy, just exceedingly average for a Leader class fig imo. Fun Factor would be one of the points bringing it that high, the design isn't super great but it has a charm about it that makes it better.

If you want to put them farther apart, that's cool. I suppose I can firm up that 8.5 figure for ROTF Prime
I see them as good in different departments, with AOE's emphasis on simplicity both bolstering (greatly on transformation) and reducing (somewhat on articulation & kibble) it's overall score. Plus there are factors of aesthetics and paints apps to consider... i.e., I give Hasbro a lot of credit for giving this Leader chrome.
Overall, I like it, and invariably personal taste is what matters.

Nope, Platinum Edition products are available at Toy-R-Us stores, in addition to some sites online. Thats how I got my Grimlock Evolution 2-pack.

More recent Platinum Edition releases are popping up in stores. Only YotS Optimus and Omega Supreme, and Predaking haven't gotten Toys "R" Us treatment (as far as I know).

shajaki wrote:i havent seen TF4, but is this grimlock more screen accurate? either way i like it.
It is, at least as far as the color palette chosen. In several shots in the movie, it's obvious the Dinobots are NOT all gunmental gray, as you might first think. They have subtle hues on some parts of their models that evoke their respective toy colors, but not anywhere near the extent to which the toys "pop" with color. The exception is Grimlock, who in the movie has a bluish-green hue to some of his body, which this Platinum Edition version tries to capture. The other choice is the Takara "Dark Knight" leader version, but it's pretty uninteresting in terms of coloring (gray and black). Another nice perk to this Platinum Edition is the seeming lack of chrome parts that the mass release version boasts. It'll probably be a lot more durable if you transform your figures frequently.

No, they're not. These are the Platinum Editions for the Movie:
- Silver Knight Optimus Prime (First Edtion repaint)
- Optimus Prime & Grimlock (Voyager molds)
- Breakout Battle (with Rusty Prime, Rollbar and Crankcase repaint)
- Leader Class Optimus Prime & Leader Class Grimlock
- Autobots United (5-pack)

Derp. My bad. Are you sure about the Silver Knight Optimus Prime? I thought that was a Target exclusive.

There are several Silver Knight Optimus Prime repaints out there (Smash & Change, Titan, Deluxe), all of them Target exclusive. But the First Edition one is a Platinum Edition:
And probably an Amazon exclusive much like the parent mold.

Just checked TFWiki myself, and while it is under the Target exclusive banner, note the wiki has been known to be incorrect at times, While the assumption is easy to make, we still lack official confirmation (hence me saying "probably")
