Yep, it takes place post-season 3. It's coming out first, though, because people are gonna wanna get their hands on it as soon as possible since it hasn't aired yet.Bleak5170 wrote:I must admit I'm confused. Doesn't Predacons Rising take place after season 3? Yet it's coming out on Blu-ray before this is. Or am I completely wrong?
It's faster and less expensive to produce a one or two disc DVD set for a mere movie than it is to produce a big multi-disc season box set, so the movie's able to get released quicker.

Ah okay. Thanks for the clarification. I'm one of those people who doesn't watch shows when their air - I always buy the Blu-ray when it comes out. I haven't even seen season 3 yet.
Do you know if Ratchet will be in Predacons Rising? I only ask because I know he stays behind in the last episode of season 3.

We know nothing outside of what's been shown in trailers or mentioned in Hasbro's press release synopsis for it.Bleak5170 wrote:Do you know if Ratchet will be in Predacons Rising? I only ask because I know he stays behind in the last episode of season 3.

Not a bad cover.
I'll definitely be picking this up. Maybe then my computer's storage would go down.

Well it kinda is a kids show.
like it's some 3D demo reel. Look at your video game covers, and some movie covers, which are so much more creative in trying to psych you out to watch the show.
I for one play 30+ new games a year and have never been psyched for that game by the cover.

I feel that that would be too easy for them to do, I could go right now and get a screen shot of any episode, any scene in that episode assuming you could describe it correctly and I could post it here in 5 minutes or less. Anyway I honestly think this is the best cover they have come up with for Prime, much better then the Season 1 box art IMO.

A) This is a kids show, and B) name one Transformers cartoon DVD set cover that doesn't do the same thing (excluding those that just have the show title logo over a near-featureless background).MINDVVIPE wrote:TBH these covers suck. The audiences of movies, video games, and children's cartoons are not all completely mutually exclusive.MINDVVIPE wrote:Look at your video game covers, and some movie covers, which are so much more creative in trying to psych you out to watch the show. Still Transformers, yet way more kickass, as there's a supposed action scene. Obviously I didn't want a simple screen shot of a battle scene taken right from the show, that would be stupid. I just said that its boring, and could be much more awesome with some creativity, rather than essentially taking the cg models, posing them in neutral poses, and putting them on a regular random background that doesn't even look to have any of the environments from the show visible in them.
Look at that, some actual art that isn't just a CG shot of the game.
Another great example. That's the end fight scene, but its framed to capture the excitement of watching it.
Obviously you don't get all psyched about something from the cover alone (or maybe at all), but it's definitely a sign of work and effort when I look through my collection of whatever, and see a nice preview of the action packed craziness (or at least some level of effort beyond what you get when you pop the disc in). Anyway, it barely matters at all, and is just my opinion. If it satisfies you, great.

That's still a bunch of generic action-posed marketing stills grouped together like all the Prime DVD covers are ()this one even has the art of the season 1 and season 2 volume 1 covers repeated in the background instead of using something more original and creative to fill out the background behind Soundwave/Ravage/Blaster).MINDVVIPE wrote:
Now that I can agree with. Not to mention the overall gloomy atmosphere evoked by this cover, which is similarly off-putting.MINDVVIPE wrote:I just said that its boring, and could be much more awesome with some creativity, rather than essentially taking the cg models, posing them in neutral poses, and putting them on a regular random background that doesn't even look to have any of the environments from the show visible in them.

Yeah, I'm not sure if Hasbro does this one purpose or not now, they also had that image around 'Rebellion' that showed BH Optimus with the Star Saber.
