Comics and entertainment website Comics Alliance - who can always afford more exclusives than us - have Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye nominated in their Best of 2016, Sci-Fi category, alongside big hitters like Saga, Cave Carson has a Cybernetic Eye and Bitch Planet. It's Transformersmas, Seibertronians! To celebrate the season, we've come up with a challenge: every day from now until Christmas, post a holiday-themed Transformers photo.
Similar to our past photo challenges, your entry can consist of anything! Any TF Figure from any line, doing any winter or holiday activity! Post what you come up with below, and you can also share your creations on Instagram using the hashtag #Transformersmas. Happy holidays!
Following the big news that fans can vote for the next Prime, the Transformers Facebook page has posted a poster for the upcoming event! The new poster advertises the big question: Who's your Prime? and features 9 different character arts surrounding an image of Optimus Prime holding the matrix: Shockwave, Megatron, Arcee, Hound, Ultra Magnus, Optimus Primal, Star Saber, Thunderwing, and "unknown evil" who really looks like Deathsaurus. This poster, coupled with the original press release does leave the question though: are one of these 9 supposed to ascend to Prime-hood, or are we making a new, original Prime from an original character? Speculate in the forums below, and check out the poster below!
In even further news today from Hasbro, we have a new announcement for the recently revealed third part to the Prime Wars trilogy, after Combiner Wars and Titans Return: Power of the Primes! There will be a new fan vote, an event that lets fans decide which Transformers character will become the next leader of Cybertron, led on Transformers.com from January 23, 2017. HASBRO LETS FANS SHAPE THE FUTURE OF THE TRANSFORMERS FRANCHISE WITH THE “POWER OF THE PRIMES” FAN VOTE
The fans can decide which Transformers character will become the next leader of Cybertron!
PAWTUCKET, R.I., December 1, 2016 – Today Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ:HAS), announced the “Power of the Primes” fan vote, an upcoming event that will place the fate of Cybertron directly in the hands of Transformers fans around the globe. Beginning on January 23rd, 2017, fans will be able to visit Transformers.com to cast their vote to help determine which character will join the ranks of Optimus Prime, Rodimus Prime and other Cybertronian legends. The fan-voted Prime will be featured in the Transformers Generations toy line and brand’s Prime Wars Trilogy storytelling in 2018.
The Prime serves as leader of Cybertron, wields the immense power of the Matrix of Leadership and holds the fate of the Transformers universe in their hands. This leader is usually chosen directly by the Matrix of Leadership, but the “Power of the Primes” fan vote will put the fans in command and give them the power to light the darkest hour and choose the bot to lead Cybertron into a historic new era.
“Hasbro’s past Transformers fan votes have led to some of our most exciting characters, including Windblade, Victorion and next year’s Trypticon Titan,” said Tom Warner, Senior Vice President of the Transformers franchise at Hasbro. Our “Power of the Primes” fan vote will raise the stakes higher than ever. The Prime sets the tone for all things in the Transformers universe, and we’re excited to see which direction our fans want to take.”
The first round of voting will begin on January 23rd, when fans can visit Transformers.com to choose between three groups of candidates – Honor, Chaos and Order.
Honor: These legendary warriors will lead with honor and carry on the noble legacy of Optimus Prime.
Chaos: These powerful warlords will stop at nothing to become supreme leader of Cybertron, even if it means creating a chaotic world where only the strongest survive.
Order: These commanders vow to leave the Autobot and Decepticon factions in the past and unite Cybertron under a new order.
Four finalists will be chosen by the fans and revealed by Hasbro in late January. Fans can then have the final say by returning to Transformers.com to vote between February 1st and February 4th. The winning Prime will be officially unveiled during New York Toy Fair in February.

Howdy fellow Seibertronians and welcome to another round of the Seibertron.com Transformers Photo Challenge. Every challenge has a theme and suggested guidelines to follow. It's time to put down your instructions and get creative, the theme for this challenge is fan modes. Fan modes are basically transformations created by fans (fanformations?) that can range anywhere from simple modifications of the official transformation to full blown new modes that were never intended. While other fan modes can be crazy mashups that defy faction alliance logic. Below are a few examples to stimulate the grey matter.
Generations Nightbeat has several fan modes in both bot and alt mode.
Fall of Cybertron Blaster can be configured to resemble a Cybertronian Boombox.
Reveal the Shield Strafe and Hunt for the Decepticons Sunspot can be combined to give Strafe a powered up almost samurai appearance.
These are just the tip of the fan mode iceberg. It's time to put on your thinking caps because, we challenge you to setup your bots and show us what you got
We're almost there, Transformers fans! As you probably remeber, The Transformers toy brand was nominated to be inducted into the National Toys Hall of Fame (we reported on this earlier in September) Since then, voting has opened, and we are in second place! Dungeons and Dragons, another nominee, currently has a pretty substantial lead over Transformers, but if we rally some support, we can overtake them and win!
It has not been said how many brands from the nominee list will be inducted, so make sure Transformers takes and stays at number one! You can do that by casting your vote on the official Hall of Fame website, where you can vote once a day for the remaining days of the contest! Remember, your vote counts! Be a part of history! For once, it's up to you to lead the Transformers to victory!

Well howdy, the theme this time around is something that is dear to the hearts of a lot of Transformers fans; Transformers: The Movie. Fellow Seibertronians, we have some more TakaraTomy news, especially for those of you who are fans of the "Arms Micron" line. They announced recently via their website that there will be two new Arms Micron variants, available through a promotion. One a redeco of Prime Arms Micron Dago now called "Micron Ink" and the other a redeco of Prime Arms Micron Zori, now called "Micron Sting".
Ink will be included, starting today, in Japanese Toys R Us Transformer purchases more than 3000 yen.
