Having Transformers Prime withdrawals yet? Today starts our three week break between new episodes until "Speed Metal" airs on April 8th, 2011. Luckily TVGuide has given us some brief plot details for the upcoming episodes "Speed Metal" and "Predatory". It appears last episode's Knockout will be making a return in "Speed Metal" and a new character will be introduced in "Predatory".
Episode 11 Speed Metal 04/08/11
Jack tries to be impressive, with Bumblebee's help, but Knockout's arrivals sends things out of control.
Episode 12 Predatory 04/15/11
Arcee must protect Jack when a routine mission is complicated by Airachnid's arrival
You may recall that Hasbro attempted to trademark Airachnid, but was denied in March of last year.

This kind of came in under the radar. Back in January a member of Director Michael Bay's Shoot for the Edit forums by the name of EastwoodClinton mentioned an AKP article that stated Transformers DOTM would be filming in Cambodia in February. Cambodia's Minister of Information Khieu Kanharith even stated via facebook that he had given the "green light" for filming in the second week of February. Since then there's basically been no information regarding the rumored filming in Cambodia until this video was discovered on YouTube. The video shows a film crew at Cambodia's Angkor Wat Temple. The video is labeled "Transformer 3 - Dark side of the moon - took shot in Cambodia" and you can hear one of the onlookers mention "Transformers 3". None of the cast or vehicles are seen in the video, the only real action is a boom crane navigating over the complex. The YouTube member who posted the video commented that they filmed there all day. The AKP article mentioned earlier states they would also be filming at Bokor Hill Station in southern Cambodia.
The video is embedded below. Feel free to speculate away in the Energon Pub.
One of several wonders of the internet, Taobao.com has an auction on it for a new very interesting animal character, thought to be first glimpsed VERY briefly in the Superbowl trailer for TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON. People were unsure if they actually saw this character, but a later news story revealed a new list of items available showing that a certain 'condor' seemed to be making his debut appearance in the DOTM toyline, thus confirming the previous uncertainty.
Alright, vagueness aside, plenty of time for spoiler sensitive fans to duck out. Without further ado, we present what is being touted as 'buzzard' or Laserbeak by the seller.
No more speculation it seems, Soundwave's favorite minion (yeah, he is...) looks to actually be joining the movie-verse.
You can see the original auction here, and we have mirrored the images below.
So what are you seeing in this guy's hands? Looks like some form of aerial vehicle (Cybertronian) that transforms into a dragon type creature, or a condor with a very long neck.
Thanks to fellow fansite, TheAllspark, we know of a new listing of TakaraTomy toys for Transformers Dark of the Moon Wave 2. The list originates from Malaysia and is a pre-order list for retailers. Most of the things listed have already been revealed at ToyFair, but as always there is one little thing that's new.
This one listing is:
Condor (Buzzard) Deluxe
As you might know, Condor is the Japanese name for Laserbeak, the more famous of Soundwave's flying minions. This might confirm rumours of the bird-like robot from the trailers actually being Laserbeak.

It goes without saying that as of yet this is all still unconfirmed and may still be subject to change, so take it with a grain of salt.
"Say it ain't so!" In what is sure to be crushing news to United fans everywhere it looks like the end could be near for the Takara Line.
According to a post at Autobase Aichi the April issue of the Japanese Toy Magazine Kero Kero Ace is reporting that Transformers United will be coming to end with March's wave 4. There's been no news of any United figures scheduled for release beyond wave 4, and with the Dark of Moon line scheduled for release in May could Scourge and company the end of the road for United?

It will probably come as no surprise to most that Linkin Park may be featured on the Transformers DOTM soundtrack considering their strong relationship with the Transformers movie franchise. The first Transformers film featured their single "What I've Done" and Transformers Revenge of the Fallen featured "New Divide". Transformers:LAMB is reporting director Michael Bay has selected "Burning in the Skies" from Linkin Park's album "A Thousand Suns" for the DOTM soundtrack. The "Burning In The Skies" International Music Video can be viewed here.
Additionally Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda and Chester Bennington have both dropped hints regarding their involvement.
Shinoda stated in this interview on YouTube that while they haven't produced a song exclusively for the film that doesn't mean they can't use one that's already complete.
In an interview posted at The Linkin Park Times Chester Bennington also hints of their involvement:
RY: Are you working on the soundtrack for Transformers: Dark of the Moon?
CB: I don’t know if I’m at liberty to tell you yet [winks]. But it looks promising. I think we go hand in hand with those films. A lot of our younger fans call us the Transformers band.
So there you have it. It appears there is a very high probability we will be hearing Linkin Park on the upcoming DOTM soundtrack. What do you think? Is "Burning in the Skies" a good choice?

Are they in or are they out? Since early on in production Michael Bay's camp has insisted that Skids and Mudflap would not be appearing in Transformers DOTM. That seemed to be debunked when a pair of Skids and Mudflap inspired Chevy Sparks were spotted during filming.
Take this with a grain of salt, but a very detailed list of possible dates for Transformers DOTM trailers and TV spots has been circulating around the internet including director Michael Bay's Shoot for the Edit forums. It appears this website may be the source.

DVD TV Spot 1 September 8, 2011

The list seems reasonable when you consider March 25th is the release date for Sucker Punch, The Kennedy's mini-series will air on the Reelz Chanel on April 3rd, and May 5th is the release date for Thor. Looks like we'll have to wait until March 25th to see if this list has any validity.

Thanks for Seibertron.com member whipslash for letting us know about a very interesting picture that's surfaced over at the Transformers Live Action Movie Blog site. According to their latest post, the new image, supposedly captured from a scene in Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon, reveals what could be a very exciting new Decepticon cast member: the triple changer Blitzwing. In the picture, we see what appears to be a robot similar in style to the other movie characters visible parts from both a jet fighter and a tank. Of course, this news is completely unconfirmed so it's definitely one for the rumor mill. But with Michael Bay promising to go out big with this film, this could definitely be true. When we know more, we'll let you know.

For the past few weeks, the BotCon exclusives have been leaked one-by-one over the past month ... Transformers AnimatedStunticonsDead End, Breakdown, Drag Strip, and Wildrider. A highly possible list of unannounced BotCon exclusives has been circulating the Internet and word-of-mouth for a few weeks now. I've heard the same information from multiple sources from around the globe. This marks the 4th time I've heard this list but I'm still considering all of this a huge rumor until we hear officially from BotCon. Make sure you keep checking back to find out if these figures are officially revealed from the BotCon folks at TransformersClub.com
Motormaster - Transformers Animated Voyager Optimus Prime (with remold)
My source also informed me that Toxitron would be this year's freebie, but considering the freebies in the past I would think this would be unlikely. Previous BotCons have had a scout or deluxe class sized figure as the freebie. Financially, it would most likely make more sense to continue with that tradition. It is also possible that Toxitron will be the custom class exclusive instead of the regular freebie, which would make a little more sense. Of course, it could be neither and just be one of the regular convention exclusives.
Is this list 100% accurate? Are there more? Less? Time will tell! Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
