It's starting to look like Transformers: Beast Wars may be getting a Shout! Factory release.
TVShowsOnDVD.com is reporting the following:
Following the classic '80s "G1" Transformers animated program came the 1996 series Beast Wars: Transformers, using GCI animation produced by Mainframe Entertainment (the folks behind the earlier CGI TV production, ReBoot). Tied to the continuity of the original show, Beast Wars: Transformers ran for 3 seasons and was followed up in 1999 by two seasons of Beast Machines: Transformers.
Shout! Factory has recently released DVDs of G1 Transformers, and after they picked up the rights to ReBoot there were a number of fans hoping that they would pick up the rights to Beast Wars: Transformers as well. The show was released on DVD before, from 2001-2004 by Rhino in the USA and Alliance in Canada. Those are long discontinued and hard to obtain, though, so fans who missed out have been looking for re-releases of the show. Now it appears that Shout! might have indeed negotiated with Hasbro to pick up the DVD rights to this series! A pair of Twitter posts by award-winning Shout! Factory DVD producer Brian Ward give us the hints we need to connect those dots. Here are his tweets from earlier today; the second one from about an hour ago:
Now, the list of new titles might not have included this particular show, of course...it's possible that this one was already "on the books." Either way, it's great to know that this is in the works, and we couldn't wait to pass it along. What about Beast Machines: Transformers from Shout! as well? We honestly can't imagine that Hasbro and Shout! would negotiate for one, and not the other. We'll have to wait and see, though. Stay tuned for updates, as further developments occur! A user by the name of Zobovor from
alt.toys.transformers/Google Groups has seemingly found another stash of new information in regards to upcoming toys.
We were recently put on the trail of a new Generations Arcee and Warpath in this same manner--through a computer listing at a retail store. Generations Warpath has now been confirmed to be available in one of the very last waves of deluxes before movie toys hit retail stores.

Entertainment Earth has listed the potential case breakdown for Generations Wave 8, which may include the Deluxe Warpath we recently saw
prototype images of. No mention of the rumored Deluxe Arcee that appeared in Wal-Mart's computer system at the same time as Warpath.

Third party toy maker
BTStoys may be venturing into full blown figure territory.
TFW2005 member Hound2501 has come across images labeled BTS-04 that appear to be prototypes of a Soundwave based off of Guido Guidi's micro-cassette recorder concept art. If you purchased their last offering BTS-04 Matrix of Leadership, you may recall a shadowy teaser image on the back of the packaging that does match up to these prototypes. No source is given for the images, and neither BTStoys website nor blog contain these images. The homepage does have a listing for a product labeled BTS-04, but it pulls up images of their previously released BTS-03 G1 Optimus Prime upgrade set and BTS-02 weapons pack. Additionally the resin prototype appears to able to hold a G1 Cassette.

The third piece in TFClub's upcoming Project Deva has been revealed, Longhaul. The latest figure is shown in his robot mode and combiner mode. We got a look at the figure's
alt mode earlier as a computer render.
Looks like you may have a decision to make when it comes to your third party Relector needs. They have also posted images of what appear to be a Reflector-
ish set of robots. Three individual robots with the central piece shown in alt mode with a light-up feature.

Pictures of a new, scout-sized Human Alliance Autobot attack helicopter with pilot, similar to the four-wheeled, triple changing, military ATV with driver that we saw last month, were apparently posted to
DOTMToys.com. Like the ATV, this copter closely resembles a small G.I. Joe vehicle, about the size of the Cobra F.A.N.G. Here's the catch though; while preparing this news to post with links to the pictures, we have discovered that DOTMToys.com is no longer online. There's currently no way to confirm what has happened to the site but some will speculate that Hasbro's legal team may have finally caught up with them-or maybe they just forgot to pay their bill.

Images of what seems to be a 3rd party trailer for the Reveal the Shield Legends Class G1 Optimus Prime figure have shown up on ACToys. Similar to the
previously reported G2 Optimus Prime trailer, nobody knows for sure if this is an actual 3rd party product. And to be quite frank it looks more like a kit-bash using Lego and styrene than a mass-produced toy. But this might just be a mock-up and would later be produced out of original parts, or it's just a nice little kit-bash and we've been reporting so many 3rd party products lately that whenever someone posts a toy that's not made by Hasbro or TakaraTomy we assume it's a 3rd party toy? Only time will tell.

There has been much talk of Reveal the Shield G2 Optimus Prime, which should be available soon, talk of it's...
Incredible amount of articulation
Good detail
Its engineering
The fact that it has a chest you can open to reveal a (non-removable) Matrix
However there have been complaints;
Horrible colour scheme
Not enough paint apps
Horrible looking head
Horrible looking hands
Horrible feet
No trailer
No gun
Flames (shall they burn in hell)
Do you want this toy but feel like a few of the above mentioned flaws should be corrected then, well you might have your wish come true!
A post over at HK-TF.com's forum gives us a look at what might be an upcoming 3rd party product meant for "completing" G2 Optimus Prime. It's currently unknown which company will be producing this set.
For simplicity's sake we'll just pretend that this is in fact an upcoming product. What we can tell from the images the set comes with;
A new sword
New feet
New Head
Possibly new hands (the position of them in the images makes it hard to tell if they are new or if it's just an optical illusion)
Oh and a trailer which can turn into a battle station and combine with Optimus Prime
The trailer looks pretty close to that of the original G2 Laser Optimus Prime figure, but the silhouettes of both modes do reveal a few differences.

Comicbookmovie.com has posted a list of projected release dates for the trailers that will preview the big 2011 blockbusters. Among those listed are two more trailers for Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon-another teaser due this winter and a full length trailer coming in the spring. Teaser number two is expected to debut in conjunction with the upcoming release of
I Am Number Four, another Michael Bay film being released on February 18th by Steven Spielberg's Dreamworks Pictures. The full length trailer is rumored to debut a few months later, arriving in theaters on May 6th (listed as the 5th) with Marvel's highly anticipated film
Thor: The First Avenger.
While these dates certainly seem logical, please treat them as rumors for now until Michael Bay or Dreamworks officially announces them.

With preparations for this summer's Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon in full swing, we're seeing more images for new figures from the movie's toyline every week. This time around, we supposedly get our first look at DOTM Voyager-class Starscream compliments of a Yahoo Japan auction. The figure itself appears to be identical to the
2009 release from TF2: Revenge of the Fallen, right down to the Cybertronian tattoos. However, much like a lot of the other new, DOTM figures we've seen, this version of Starscream will come with two Mech Tech weapons, one resembling a gun and the other a sword.
EDIT: after closer examination by saavy site member and News Crew personnel, it appears that this my be a different mold than the existing Starscream figures previously released. Whether this is a retool of the older voyager or leader figures or a new mold like a rumored deluxe class is yet to be seen. When we learn more, we'll let you know!
