The big Reveal for the Pulse Premium presentation was the reveal of the next Transformers Haslab project: Deathsaurus, Emperor of Destruction, including all tiers. And unlike some of the latest Haslab projects, this one is still under $200.

Transformers fans, now is your chance to bring a legendary rivalry to life. Picture it: the heroic Victory Saber* and the evil Deathsaurus standing off in a larger-than-life battle as part of your personal collection. This is an opportunity you won’t want to miss! This HasLab project re-creates Deathsaurus, inspired by Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers: Victory, as a premium collectible figure for his debut in the Transformers line for the first time in over 30 years.

Straight Out of the Dark Nebula
Deathsaurus has a pretty iconic alt mode, and the team made sure the figure design reflects just how awesome it really is. This figure converts between robot and his powerful griffon-dragon alt mode, with plenty of features befitting the Decepticon warlord, including wing, claw, and jaw articulation. Deathsaurus stands at an impressive 11-inch height in robot mode, to scale with the prior HasLab Victory Saber figure. This figure is animation-accurate and features 30 points of articulation for creating epic battle stances and iconic poses from the anime.

“Chest Attack!”
Deathsaurus has deployed the Chest Animals! Deathsaurus wouldn’t be complete without his iconic Micromaster chestplate beasts, Eaglechest and Tigerchest. Eaglechest coverts between eagle and cassette modes, and Tigerchest converts between tiger and chest piece modes. The cassette-mode Eaglechest figure can fit inside the chest of Deathsaurus. The Tigerchest figure attaches to the Deathsaurus figure as a horned chest piece. Both Micromasters also convert to weapon modes that Deathsaurus can wield in battle! The Eaglechest figure has a 6-inch wingspand and converts to a double-barreled blaster accessory, and the 4-inch-long Tigerchest figure converts to a bow accessory.

Weapons of Destruction
Deathsaurus can’t crush his archnemesis without his iconic weapons! Pose Deathsaurus challenging Victory Saber* on the battlefield with the included sword accessory that the figure can hold. Attach the Tigerchest figure in bow mode and pose Deathsaurus taking aim at his archnemesis with the included arrow accessory. This figure also comes with the classic Death Tailer shield accessory that attaches in alt mode as the tail of Deathsaurus.

TIER 1 – 14,000 BACKERS: “FEEL THE POWER OF THE LIVING-METAL-DESTROYING CANNON!”
The Living-Metal-Destroying Cannon is perhaps one of the most destructive weapons in the Transformers universe. A fully-charged blast from its barrel can erode any metal material, including the living cells of Cybertronian lifeforms. This Deathsaurus figure comes with this signature weapon accessory and his classic spiked flail accessory! Fans can also plug the 6 included blast effects onto the Deathsaurus figure and his weapon accessories. The Living-Metal-Destroying Cannon, spiked flail, and blast effect accessories will be unlocked when the campaign reaches 14,000 backers.

Would $160 in 2020 make more sense? Because the inflation since VS has been a whopping 10%. So I definitely see it.

Definitely backing this guy. Desza- Dess- Deathsaurus was in dire need of an update and I still consider that CW version "Scene Kid Sky Lynx". I knew it was bound to happen with Victory Saber happening, but hoo boy I am pumped. I do hope it at the very least reaches the tier for his Living-Metal Destroying Cannon, a mighty Emperor of Destruction needs it!

On a side note: That's gonna be quite the big lad to put on a shelf. The display possibilities of him with Victory Saber are already making me very excited. ;)^

As someone who reports on news, Hasbro made it easy with this one and they really learnt their lessons. With the quick presentation, they answered how people across the world could order it and we now know all tiers instead of waiting or wondering.

For me? No. To me this is an exclusive Commander, and still feels about 40-60 too high to me and for a figure that doesn’t feel as impressive. Maybe the color photos will convince me otherwise
. I want to have deathChicken but this isn’t an instant for me like VS was.

I woke up and saw the stream was still running, skipped through to the Transformers part, saw the Deathsaurus video and immediately went to Pulse to back two.

While I really like Victory Saber there were some obvious compromises made to make it work, the most of which being the gaps in Saber and Victory Leo's arms and legs and a rather basic stand as an unlockable, and 20K tier that was just a shield that should have come with him and two very simple Micromaster repaints. For Deathsaurus I would call him on par with VS. He comes with all of his important parts at the base level, his first tier includes all of his best secondary weapons, and the stand tier also includes a throne (though which one is anyone's guess, they showed off two entirely different designs). For me it's a necessity to go with my VS orders and I'll have no regrets even if we haven't seen it in color yet and it already looks amazing!

Honestly with the size of the lad we're getting and the (potential) extra accessories, I'd say it seems like a good price. I never really cared about visible gaps but I do appreciate the budget being used to make sure those potential spots are covered up for those that do care. Considering stuff like Rodimus Prime and Motormaster seems to ring up as almost 100$ here including tax, the 80$ increase doesn't really seem that big to me. I wouldn't complain about getting some price cuts at all though.

I don't disagree, Deathsaurus looks really solid, and he has presence too, he is a really good size. I am really excited for this, and I cannot WAIT to see him in color

Those are not 2 entirely different designs. One is the cad model and the other is the preliminary blockform version which is just there to show dimensions. Same with the Deathsaurus model showed in the livestream and the detailed model we see in the renders.

The one we'll be getting is the detailed one shown on renders.

Anyways I'll be getting this for sure. Just not sure if I will get with a friend (Kanrabat) so that we can save on shipping, and not sure if I'll just buy the one or buy another to resell.

I missed the stream, but when I saw a post of it on Instagram I immediately went to Haslab and backed this. I didn't even look at more than the 1 picture. I knew instantly that I wanted it. He looks so good and pairs very nicely with Starsaber!

I wasn't clear enough, take a closer look. It isn't just a matter of one is CAD and on is a block model, there are actual CONCEPTS in the design that are different. The back of the CAD throne is sunken in to accommodate his back kibble while the block model has a flat back with folding panels that open the back of the throne which I think is a much better design choice. If they can implement the folding panels onto the heavily detailed CAD design I think it would be perfect!

I was sure Hasbro will do Deathsaurus in either HasLab or as a (engineering compromised) Commander. At $180, the $20 inflation premium over VS is IMO within reasons if all the tiers are unlocked, considering it's nowhere near as complex as VS to make, but Deathsauraus will most likely have less backers.

Backed VS, but I'm still butt-hurt about the shipping fee to Canada though. I'm pretty sure I'll back this when the color renders looks good and the last tier is unlocked as I (painfully) skipped the entire Kingdom/Legacy BW figures to have some money saved up while we're in this Hasbro's greedflation period.

insert here the m. bison yes video clip, cuz me am to lazy to fuss over it. but a billion times YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSS. this guy has been a long time coming. I still want the rest of the major victory heavy hitters, liokaiser and road ceaser, but having at the very least saber and deathsaurus to duke it out will keep me sated.

I'll probably back this, but I've been less excited about pretty much everything from Hasbro Lately. Costs for TFs are getting toward the point i'll be priced out of collecting them altogether.

The griffen mode reminds me a LOT of an upscaled PotP Cutthroat.

I also find it odd there are only two bonus tiers. I think, and I may be wrong, but I think every other HasLab has had 3 tiers (at least TF and Marvel ones)

They usually don't give up all the tiers on release of the campaign, so we'll see.

Yeah, but that just means an extra 3000, that's how much the numbers increased when they added the Japan numbers last time. And makes sense, we know the Japanese market is small, they didn't have enough orders for that Brave Max toy to get the bonus figure a few years ago.

Me-A-Saurus, eh? Well, I don't think it looks anything like me

. I suppose I ought to be all over this one simply for the namesake. But I had no nostalgic connection to this character or figure, so I don't see the appeal as much as others do. So I'll save my mortal skretch for the figures that do appeal, and leave this one for his fans. I know many have been humming for something like this, so kudos to you!

Third Tier needs to be Spinister repainted as Deathcobra with a repaint of that snake minicon as an homage to Cobrabreast.

That would actually be awesome if they were to ever do a Liokaiser HasLab by having one of the tiers be Deathcobra that can substitute Hellbat as a limb.

I don't have a 'great' attachment to him, either. But, I do have a Star Saber so it kind of works. Also, since I put my extra up on ebay last night and sold it for double in about two hours, he's already paid for.

That would actually be awesome if they were to ever do a Liokaiser HasLab by having one of the tiers be Deathcobra that can substitute Hellbat as a limb.

Liokaiser and road Caesar are probably the only ones that wouldn't require a haslab campaign. each component isn't too complex or too big, and the vehicles are all toys kids would like to play with, and some could easily be retooled/repainted into more western known characters if need be. Maybe the engineering for the brain master gimmick on road ceasar could require more funding to pull off, but idk. Landcross on the otherhand...

Fair point, I'd imagine with Legacy Menasor already being a combiner that doesn't need the Scramble City gimmick they could probably do the two without the need for a kickstarter. Maybe I got HasLab on the brain. :lol:
