Here's my own, less refined attempt at using scramble power:
Mainly I wanted to use the pipe weapons as Optimus-style smokestacks.

Looks good! I love the smoke stack look. I can't do it though 'cause I'm not going to get Brake Neck. Hope somebody else comes with the pipes.Mainly I wanted to use the pipe weapons as Optimus-style smokestacks.
Not sure if I will get him. Honestly though I'd rather have Battlecore than traditional Prime. Just for the sake of having a different Prime. This year is getting pricey, gotta trim the fat somewhere.ZeroWolf wrote:Indeed those colours are great, can't wait to see what what combinations you get out of battlecore prime Cobotron

Whether or not TT might attempt a new mold for Blastoff and/or Vortex, I would like to speculate or even wish that, maybe a mold based on a Mil Mi-24. And possible to detach the rotor blades similar to Baldigus/Encore to use them as a melee weapon. That would be awesome!
Blast-off too. A terrestial fighter jet? The Autobots already have that sealed and the 'cons their Seekers already. Swindle and the rest, no complaints at all.
Maybe the green camo deco for Onslaught like his G1 incarnation would be neat!
And Swindle is just so yummy! (Btw, he didn't pay me for that endorsement )
Shockwave being part of the pack, here's hoping TT also includes him.
Hopefully barring delays, last week of February or March 2016.
Probably wishful thinking to get anything different in terms of molding/re-tooling for Vortex...
There's a pretty substantial amount of re-tooling for 3/5 team members.
However, with the re-tooling and not brand-new molds, I think it's extremely likely that TT will make a new mold for Blast Off.
And although I think a jet alt-mode works really well with this group, and even as a limb,
that will be difficult to resist...
Here's a few other things I predict for a TT release:
--More show-accurate paint apps (as usual)
(it will be interesting to see what they do with the Bruticus chestplate)
--A light-gray Bruticus head
--A large gun for Brut
A new Blast Off and the light gray Bruticus head color will be enough for me to buy TT's.
The rest will all be a nice bonus.

There's a slight bend at MM's knees and to keep him upright I use the little back talons on the feet. It's also quite a bit of fiddling before I get him to stand just right.

That's a hand-painted sample. They rarely, if ever, put final versions of newly-revealed figures in the BotCon display cases.fenrir72 wrote:Noticed something disturbing with the "Blastoff" mold. But in combined mode, there is no question at all that the Takara is the better option. Looks bloody nice!!

Exactly, everyone needs to calm the f@#k down, this is how it is every year at botcon and such. Of course the final figure is going to be molded, they paint them up so they don't have to use textured renders of the figures (pictures) for the display. People absolutely freaked when the official pics of hotspot had defensors head facing the wrong way, when, not a day earlier, it was shown in the proper way, and clearly the head was hidden; but people were still flipping tables over it

I'm still waiting for Blades to ship.
I finally put Defensor together, with Alpha Bravo as a stand-in for Blades. He is, at once, both my favorite and least favorite of the combiners. I love the look of him all put together, but he has so many nagging problems that just keep him from being perfect. Streetwise's shoulders tend to get in the way when I use him as an arm, which makes posing Defensor a pain. Hot Spot's legs tend to come unpegged in combined mode, causing the whole gestalt to topple over while posing him. On the plus side, Groove is much better integrated into Defensor's chest than Blackjack is on Menasor.
I'll probably end up displaying them separately. I really like the Protectobots as individual figures, particularly Rook and Hot Spot.

Yes, hotspot seems to have the lingering issue that mm had, where they are to deep, they have long (not wide) torso's that catch on the the kibble of the limb-bots; this is, yet another reason silverbolt/cyclonus are so solid as a torso, nothing impedes any of the limbs. I would use streetwise as a leg, but he is so flat and thin that he looks dumb and out of place

I totally agree with that, he works far better as an arm. I found Blades to work really well as a leg actually. While he might be thin, he offers a cool knee pad.

He works fairly well - my a/b notwithstanding - which is one of the reasons the aerialbots work. they all have a similar footprint, in that, their base (where the hand/foot plugs in) is a square. Visually this works in tandem with superions thigh's and built torso to really draw everything together.
This also works with the stunticons on galvatronus; with neck brace and dead end as symmertical arms with the wide sleeves and thin biceps, and dragstrip and axe-murderer as legs that offer similar dimensions as any two of the aerialbots.
While I don't have a problem with the a/b mold necessarily, I don't like it when there is nothing similar (dimension-wise) to pair it with. Rook is massive, streetwise is super wide, using firstaid would require using streetwise as a hideous leg. This is the reason why I love the use of the qs mold for bruticus (while not necessarily the head, I like it for him) b/c the arm modes look in proportion with one another. I've already planned on giving defensor prowl, sky reign will get hound and blades can chill with a/b in their sexy alt modes

Oh I'm farking calm. Not OCD on wrong head placement et al. Its the noticeable unpainted areas of the mold that had me concerned. Not to mention one fellow poster here mentioning the spin doctoring cr@p Hasbro gave concerning the "new" Blast Off vehicle mode.Combat thingamgigy......really now.
Btw, I'm no sure if this is applicable to the Hasbro version but Air Raid's painted black pegs, given that it locks in the legs are gonna wear off.So paint apps are both boon and bane (remember Hasbro Blitzwing?)

Why not try Blades and Strretwise as arms while First Aid and Rook as legs. Seems proportional. Rook btw looks REAL good ....I'm eyeing to get him too as an extra protectobot onces Defensor arrives.

Also, Dragstrip sure seems to have been busy, since he's been part of every combiner in the first three waves except Defensor (albeit only as a substitute before Air Raid was released in Superion's case).
I love the fact that they are homaging that scene. Beats making a new Combaticon right??
And yes, Dragstrip is everywhere and anywhere! He just keeps getting lost. "Sorry, made a wrong turn again"

A third party MM modified to be usable as the centerpiece for hasbros stunticons, can find it at bbts and such.

No problem I thought all of its modes looked kinda weak, but to each their own, I admit wanting something to make the stunticons shine as menasor. Always thought that if has/tak made op/mm into a long nose truck, it might give them more room to work with, or maybe if they revisited the design and rebuilt it from the ground up with the knowledge they have now.
