Mr Chaos posted a slew of new listings found on a store computer for the Transformers Titans Return line. We have included them below with some images for reference throughout his post which was first seen on TFW2005. Mr Chaos has posted listings like this before and the last time, they all panned out. You can see his previous forecast here.

Mr. Chaos wrote:Once more my wonderful friend/source of information was able to dig through the Product Listings at his store's computer and revealed some new and rather interesting upcoming Titan Returns Figures.

First, let us start with the Voyagers, as these are the ones that are the least surprising.

First we have Broadside who was already revealed via a prototype. However, with his case number (C0277) it is clear he will be the only new figure in his Wave with some other Voyager getting a second release with him.

The wave after his sees the two everyone knew was coming: Octane (C2396) and Blitzwing (C2397).

This is interesting as this confirms that Titans Return will be lasting more than than just one year total as was once rumoured.

TR 2017 Voyager wave 1: Optimus Prime and Megatron
TR 2017 Voyager wave 2: Broadside and a rereleased Decepticon (probably Galvatron)
TR 2017 Voyager wave 3: Octane and Blitzwing
TR 2017 Voyager wave 4: Unknown but this would be where Tidal Wave comes in if he is indeed being released as a redeco of Broadside.

Next we move on to the legends with a surprise: Cosmos (C2398) is getting released! No idea if this will simply be his Generations Figure rereleased or a brand new mold. Coming with him will be Seaspray (C2399).

Finally the Titan Masters which are the most surprising of the listings. First we have Toraizer (C2390). Next, and quite a shocker, is Optimus Prime (C2389), who will be released as a Titan Master. And finally we have Ramhorn (C2391). And before anyone asks... yes, Titan Master Ramhorn and NOT Legends Ramhorn. I had my friend/source triple check the UPC, the Case Code, Pricing, so on and everything has him listed in the Titan Masters group.

Toraizer is like Sawback/Lione and Shuffler, a Titan Master based on small G1 Transforming animals that turned into a head to fit on the larger Headmasters. It will probably be based on the Sawback mold since they are both big cats. Below is an image of G1 Toraizer for reference.

I'm excited for Seaspray. Cosmos again?

And yay for Octane. Still will need to see Blitzwing before I make a decision about him.

Also really glad the masterforce guys are being made. That is way cool

Is this supposed to be like a platinum set or something? I really don't want to have to buy Nautica as a platinum/box set like that

No one knows yet it's all just best guesses. I doubt it'll be a platinum set, it's more likely going to be similar to the combiner wars g2, Victorion and Computron sets.

Since I pre-ordered UW Computron from BBTS, I was heavily leaning toward adding Cosmos to my POL to spread out the shipping cost. Now I'll need to see the TR version first to make a decision.

I was never a huge fan of Seaspray, but will have to grab it for the collection.

A seperate post for a seperate idea. This interview has John Warden state that the whole concept of retools has changed since CW. Now they plan the whole line out and see what they can do. So its no longer putting new heads on the same body (aside from when its exactly that). And I like how he uses the word pretool, which means its part of the Hasbro lexicon now. You can see that at the 2 minute mark. Personally, I much preffer the idea of parts sharing to make different figures rather than have a main mold that is then retooled.

Please do, this is a really interesting idea if there are three deluxes, a voyager, and leader per boxset

So then Titan Master Ramhorn is to counter Overboard/Overkill then. Hopefully that means we have a rhino partner vehicle coming.

I really hope the whole box set thing is someone trolling because that sounds like a terrible idea. Combiners are one thing since ideally you'd want a complete set, but shoehorning random characters together to make teams of exclusive characters is just terrible.

I agree. I don't want several characters like that to only be in a box set when I want them separate.

The Titan Master class Optimus Prime could be the Star Convoy-based head that was supposed to come with the Voyager in addition to the G1 Laser OP head that it does come with (despite the Voyager sporting a more Star Convoy-based deco in its robot mode)

When you say it like that, it sounds terrible. But these aren't the higher end collectibles of Botcon. It's like a big box of characters at around their combined retail price. That just stinks to me

That's not an entirely fair comparison. Sure, BotCon made a lot of neat stuff, but rarely anything I felt I must have to complete a retail collection. Not after the Games of Deception set which Hasbro had to back pedal on and redo half the characters for retail. BotCon sets work since they're often standalone sets, but to do what's described with mashing new characters together with better painted versions of figures I already own is the wrong way to do things.

I feel like Cosmos will leave a lot of people disappointed. Think about it, there's only two ways for them to do him in this line: either he'll be compromised to fit a Titan Master inside him, or he'll turn into a mobile device to stick in Blaster's chest. Neither of those options sound too great to me.

Ok, time to recap the rumored figures:

Titan Master Class
Repugnus
Optimus Prime
Ramhorn
Shuffler
Trizer/Toraizer

Legends Class
Cosmos
Seaspray

I believe Legends Brawn was debunked as a communication error.

Deluxe Class
Quake
Krok
Topspin
Sergeant Kup
Perceptor

Voyager Class
Broadside
Blitzwing
Octane/Tankor
Tidal Wave with Powerhouse

Wait... as we never had a G1 Tidal Wave, and lost trademarks are plentiful in TR, wouldn't it be possible that Tidal Wave is Broadside's new name?

Leader Class
Magnus Prime

If I remember right, since Brawn and Gnaw were both planned as Legends originally (and canceled) whoever leaked the names assumed that would still be true for Titans Return. I think someone else said that Hasbro said the missing Legends figures would be released soon which added to the confusion until Titan Master Brawn was revealed.

Some interesting stuff here though some of it was obvious, like the triple changers. Though talking about them, last time we had octane he was renamed tankor (giving us thin tankor in IDW) So have they got the rights back for that name? I mean it doesn't bother me if he is tankor but it's a curious thing.

Also these rumoured box sets, aren't the autobot heroes platinum sets a similar composition? I.e. A leader class, a voyager class 2-3 deluxes?

It hasn't been debunked anymore than it's been confirmed. The miscommunication thing was speculation

Tidal Wave with Powerhouse

Powerhouse is not Tidal waves titan master. Powerhouse is a die cast exclusive titan master not associated with a full body

Leader Class
Magnus Prime

You forgot quickswitch and Overlord

As far As the box set rumors go every rumor that's been released so far is here http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-toy-discussion/1046898-transmissions-podcast-titan-wars-leaks-rumors.html and the strength and speed rumors are at the episode 157 point and goes down. The post says they're lines but when listening to the actual podcast it's unclear how they're being released, box set makes the most sense to me though. They also talk about a Voyager optimus in the speed set but I think that too is a mistake.

It's just what Hasbro does for different waves. For instance, the recent Wave 2 has their Leader class be made up of Soundwave and a Powermaster Prime re-release. Fills up the assortments.

I really hope that boxset thing is fake. I don't want to have to get two more deluxes, a voyager and a frikkin' leader just to get Nautica, especially when I couldn't care less about Quickswitch and the autobot clones. I'm sure they'll be great toys, but I'm kind of on a budget and want to prioritise MTMTE. If they're really gonna do this I'm actually gonna be a little angry.

Same way Voyager Motormaster and Onslaught were rereleased in Combiner Wars. Its just a way to keep toys on the shelf without making new toys. Only 6 voyagers got released in 2015, but it seems 2016 has gotten 7 voyagers.

Yeah that was the transcriber messing up. When Nautica was first rumored they said she was part of the speed set. When they talked about her again they just talked about mold choice and I think he forgot she was apart of the set. They never revised the rumor saying she was a stand alone figure.

I mean I could be wrong and the strength and speed sets are just fun names for waves, but it doesn't seem likely. They're one deluxe short, there's only one Voyager one titan master and no legends figures. Plus with all the other rumors this line would have to be a full two years to fit everything.

Just to be clear, Botcon are not higher end collectibles, at least not more than any other toy of the same mold with a decent deco. Its a word I would use more for Masterpiece figures which are higher end in quality, detail, parts count ect. I have Botcon toys and they arent more impressive than others I own. The only reason they cost more is because they are licensed to a third party company (fun pub) which doestn make use of economies of scale. The price only works with the demand, but if there is no demand, the price will go down. Depthcharge was going for less than any retail deluxe figure.

Yeah, I think so too. And I think that Ramhorn and Shuffler will share similar tooling (rhinos and elephants)

Maybe it will have the new crown the prototype had

Very doubtful. It's just a rerelease to fill out the case assortments like Hasbro's been doing for years; don't look into it too much.

william-james88 wrote:A seperate post for a seperate idea.

Fascinating. The Classics-style line has definitely shifted in the last few years in terms of design, and I definitely don't think it's a bad thing. If you had told me a few years ago we were going to get proper combiners that look good, Headmasters, and bots that transformed into things other than cars and jets, I'd have called you crazy. It never seemed like Combiners were on the radar, even after the Powercore Combiners and Fall of Cybertron figures, which never looked quite right. And it always seemed that in order for them to go to market with a figure, it had to be recognizable as a car or a jet or other vehicle - having Blaster and Soundwave actually look like cassette players seemed to be off the table, and more "alien"-looking alt modes were shifted toward more Earthlike designs.

Figures have also gotten simpler (yet still solid) transformations in the last few years, and I think that's partly down to planning out retools such that the figures can look different but transform the same way with swapped parts.

Overall, I think planning things out a little more has improved the figures and selection of figures we're getting. I'd love to see them go back to some of the original Classics and Universe figures and redo some of them (Prowl/Smokescreen/Bluestreak and Ironhide/Ratchet leap to mind, even if they were part of Combiner Wars).

The second release of Combiner Wars Onslaught did not come with anything different. This will just be another chance to get Galvatron especially since he is proving very popular right now, regardless of the gimmick. Its just stocking the wave with older toys. Like this upcoming wave:

As you can tell, there is nothing new about any of the toys being rereleased

OR this:

Wave 5:

Dont expect anything different from Galvatron.

But it also means another chance for a solo retail Scrounge :KREMZEEK:

Which wasn't even a great figure cause it no resemblance of scrounge other than a sphere like shape and his head the mold is great but only for cosmos not scournge

Let me stop you right there. I've had the box set for almost two weeks now, and Scrounge is an awesome little dude, and is one of my favorites of the set (second only to Strafe).

Besides, Scrounge transformed into a wheel, and Hasbro wouldn't be caught dead making a figure of that. The Cosmos mold is the best choice, given that you can prop it up sideways and it looks close enough to Scrounge's original wheel form. Plus, his new head is awesome.

Wheel based Transforming Characters do not seem to bother Bandai they have made several over the last 2 or 3 decades.

----------

I hope the Optimus Prime is a new design with a cute little truck vehicle - to ride in.

Ideally with a Unique head - either one that matches the colours of other toys with a different face plate or no face plate, or some other useful design like Cybertron style head or Star Convoy style head. something with some use to it - also the weapon mode would look decent when held by a larger Optimus Hopefully.

-------

I think the clones idea is a great one - it's a shame that the name reuse would step on other characters toes or the Brainstorm design might also work OK for animated Jetfire & Jetstorm homages too.

But yeah the Clone idea is a good one and one I've liked ever since it first popped up.

I beg to differ, Hasbro has made a ton of figures that turned into random circles.

Except that they were shaped that way because of a gimmick. The Mini-Cons could be used with the Deployers, and the Data Disks could be put inside Soundwave and Blaster. Scrounge is just a wheel, with nothing for him to interact with (besides his special arm, as there is no other like it).

The post says they're lines but when listening to the actual podcast it's unclear how they're being released, box set makes the most sense to me though. They also talk about a Voyager optimus in the speed set but I think that too is a mistake.

Wait, it says items 3-5 + Voyager Prime. Nautica is listed as item 6.

Yeah that was the transcriber messing up. When Nautica was first rumored they said she was part of the speed set. When they talked about her again they just talked about mold choice and I think he forgot she was apart of the set. They never revised the rumor saying she was a stand alone figure.

Dammit. Guess I'm not getting Nautica for a while then...

Anyone got any theories on how DECEPTICON clones can be done ?
with the same mould family ?

Wolfwire is OK for turning into a pussy cat - but I'm wondering could they do an extensive retool of teh two headed dragon mould perhaps ?

Otherwise it seem more like the clones wouldn't be the same mould family - which is sort of the point of the clones really.
