Those deluxes are:
1 - Bumblebee
2 - Megatron
3 - Terran Twitch
4 - Optimus Prime
5 - Shockwave
6 - Grimlock
7 - Nightshade
This is pretty big news since it means there will be Shockwave and Grimlock on the show, something we did not know yet. Nightshade will be another terran transformer that will come in later in season 1.
We will get our first look at these characters in the back of the packaging of the deluxes coming out next month.
We thank Griffin from Ozformers for the images and reporting, which all took place at Ozfest.

Large Spin Bee is a brick no doubt due to the gimmick.
Mandroid is intriguing, but why are the #5,6 and 7 figures needed to build him, redacted? Story Spoilers?
Twitch and Megs seem to be the best out of the lot at this point.
Elita-1 looks pretty good. Though her alt-mode reminds me of Prime Bulkhead
So what are the classes here:
Spin Changers
Deluxe
1 step
Finger changers.

Also, what the heck is that packaging now? It's like they just tied them directly to the Studio Series base and said "Nah, we don't need an overbox.

Flashwave wrote:Other than looking like a de armored version of BH Bulkhead, I like Elita. Other than the flip out gun gimmick is she any different than the Deluxes?
Simpler and less points of articulation.

Have you seen or heard of the Cyberverse warrior class toys of the past 4 years? She's that same type of toy. Less articulation and simpler transformation.

The younger kids toys are packaged the same way as all other kids toys on shelves, nothing more to it.

You can see the Roche in Twitch clear as day, that's why I love her design.
I am disappointed with the fact that Shockwave and Grimlock are 2 of the remaining 3 deluxes of this wave. I would have preferred Thrash and Arcee myself

Now to decide if I'll pick up the Warrior or hold out for a Deluxe. Hopefully they'll announce the latter before the former hits stores.

The reveals are 1-Step Flip Changers Soundwave and Swindle, Warrior Megatron and Thrash, Deluxe Optimus Prime and Shockwave. Shockwave is a redeco of the Cyberverse deluxe figure.
I can anticipate many wondering what the difference is between Warrior and Deluxe Megatron since the deluxe is priced much higher and while the robot modes may look similar, the alt mode is where we see the complexity at play. The more obvious feet in the warrior class' alt mode show how that toy is far simpler in terms of its transformation, which lowers parts count and cost, ect. Also the deluxe figure features more points of articulation, like hip swivels, which even Mcfarlane action figures often lack.

Thrash looks fantastic as well, and I'm sure there's fun to be had with the others. Not super surprised Cyberverse's Shocky is being reused here but I am intrigued if they'll do something new for him later.

Looking at Twitch’s packaging I think he does come with the alternate arm.
Now the question is if Grimlock uses his Cyberverse mold.

The Deluxe optimus looks real nice, I like it a lot!
The warriors also look sharp. I won't get Megatron because of the deluxe coming, but he is still good looking. And Thrash is a pleasant surprise, he and Elita are my 2 warrior purchases to date, they both look good.
Now, where is a good 50's model Arcee?

"But they're made for KIDS - ya gotta unnerstand!"
Yeah, I get that. But I've seen other kids toys that look a hekkuvva lot better than these. And poor Megatron - that face looks all gormless and simpering. A far fall for the leader of the Decepticons. Small, hollow, flimsy - all perfectly cruel and perfectly accurate descriptions. I skipped out on pretty much the entire Cyberverse line because the figures looked too child-like for my taste. But at least they had some that appear to have been decently engineered, and they seemed to give proper respect to Megatron. But I see little evidence of that so far for Earthspark. I hope the kids like 'em - but I sure don't.

Finally, a sane man! Everyone keeps telling me I expect too much from kids toys. But I just hate the prospect of ripping of kids, they don't know what's good or what's crap. There are some good kids transformers toys, but sometimes they are hard to see in a sea of cyberverse one steps shockwaves.

But he raises some fair points this does feel overly simple for the price point. Maybe thT is a trade off for other figures in the wave, but given that one is a Retool and the other a redeco that seems unlikely.

Flashwave wrote:I don't like the vehemence that he comes across with his complaints, never have. And every figure does not need to be an engineering Marvel. Complaining about a figure that has Ankle Tilts, and enough range for most normal humanoid poses because it doesn't tip far enough for your liking is bizarre. And complaining about its plane mode whilst you have it balanced on a flight stand by his Accessory and not a structural part of the figure seems counterintuitive. There aren't many figures I would trust would be supported by an attached piece like that.

Same old excuses. Lack of ankle tilts and wrists swivels can be lived without. But megatron is the SAME PRICE as a deluxe figure, so shouldn't he meet those standards? The kids toy is the OTHER earthspark megatron, this one has no excuse for being short of the deluxe standard.

I think we should at least compare apples to apples. If you say a warrior class toy looks cheap compared to a legacy deluxe, well no shit sherlock, it's a cheaper toy. Regardless if its made for kids, we arent comparing the same thing.
However, comparing this deluxe megatron to a legacy deluxe (which I think you are doing) is fair game. The RID warrior class toys were great examples of toys made just for kids that were on par with toys of similar price points in the Generations line. And many, myself included, argued that they were the better product on the shelf at the time. I mean you had deluxe CW Deadend on the shelf at the same time as Warrior Class Thunderhoof and Fracture. Those were some of the best toys that year. So yeah, a deluxe Megatron should not be cheap, it should be as good a toy as a deluxe from Legacy or Studio Series. I personally really loved deluxe Cyberverse Bumblebee, Slag, Optimus, Arcee and Soundwave. All those toys were on par with similarly priced toys of other lines.
As for cheaper toys, like the one steps, I have 0 problems since they are a perfect stepstone drug for the harder stuff later, and some are very well made for the age group. And they are sold at a cheaper price point.

admitting the worst, eh? One step chanhers dont need to be majic, I have and like repugnus, but when you look at a figure like Cyberverse one step bumblebee (the one made new for cyberverse), you know they could do better with the budget.

Firstly, I was making a play on words.
Also, one step bumblebee is great, it's a fun design that works really well for younger kids (like 2 years old). My kid loves that toy and it got him into more transformers toys. They could add more paint if that's what you are getting at, but in terms of transformation design, they really hit a sweet spot for young kids.

Optimus Prime move forward, point to his Autobot army then said in a dramatic tone:
"Megatron must be stopped. No matter the cost!."
The Autobots cheer!
Then Optimus cry:
"AUTOBOTS, TRANSFO...."
Silence.
"Hum. AUTOBOTS, MARCH!"
-- A child playing with Transformers, but with complex 3P and Masterpieces instead of the easy 1-steps, 3-steps, and Warrior class toys.
