These are ust G1 inspired stories and bios that live on in their own world. Its just a take on things. Doesnt mean that the same Shockwave from the G1 comics of he G1 show is now Cicadon.
This comic is in continuity with the IDW Beast Wars comics (The Gathering, The Ascending, and the Sourcebook), which themselves are in a universe that includes the Beast Wars and Beast Machines cartoons (but not the 3H or other Fun Pub Beast Era media).william-james88 wrote:Woah wait hold on a sec guys, how does this really change anything? Ok then how come pre beast tigetron has a beast head?
Also with these bios, does it mean taht Ramhorn is G1 Ramhorn? I mean it is a rhinocerous beetle

Wouldn't surprise me if he were a version of Jhiaxus, honestly. That'd be dope.
I haven't read the comic (still en route to Louisville, have a layover in Baltimore currently), so I don't know what Tigatron's deal is yet. We just know that the comic takes place in the IDW Beast Era since Fun Pub previously announced that it was.william-james88 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:This comic is in continuity with the IDW Beast Wars comics (The Gathering, The Ascending, and the Sourcebook), which themselves are in a universe that includes the Beast Wars and Beast Machines cartoons (but not the 3H or other Fun Pub Beast Era media).william-james88 wrote:Woah wait hold on a sec guys, how does this really change anything? Was Jihaxus an autobot? I think the ramhorn bio said he was once an autobot.

It's homaging the metals repaint they used at an old botcon. They had ravage, this was an obvious choice for a re-use
Not everything they do has to tie in with fiction - or make sense, just... let it gowilliam-james88 wrote:I know hence my question. Which I find odd, since tarantulas says that in BW destroying the ark wouldn't damage the council because his origins and the councils are from 'somewhere else' which I always took to mean Unicron, which Megatron references at some point too. But the bw comic universe isn't canon to the bw show universe, so I guess it doesn't matter
First, the whole "Spawn of Unicron" thing in the show was meant to be an insult that the fandom(and later media) decided to take on face value. It was another "this show is connected to that earlier one!" mentions that they loved doing and we fans/nerds had to be ourselves and get all pedantic and literal about it.
Secondly, these bios are suggesting that they DO have different origins from the rest of the Predacons by being part of the original generation of pre-faction Cybertronians.
Sabrblade wrote:Tigatron is in the comic in a form that looks post-BW, yet we know the comic occurs pre-BW. Asking what's up with Tigatron in the comic is a perfectly valid question for anyone who hasn't read the comic yet since they don't know if it provides an explanation or not and want to know what said explanation is if the comic does have one. Will's inquiry is not unreasonable.

98% of the time do the Club toys have fictional precedent for what characters they are and/or the look they have. This comic is in continuity with the cartoon, and Tigatron is in both, so it's natural to expect SOME kind of explanation for his appearance in this comic.Hellscream9999 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Tigatron is in the comic in a form that looks post-BW, yet we know the comic occurs pre-BW. That's like saying there should be a rhyme or reason for the figures released in the tfss; they just do stuff and sometimes they try to tie it together as best they can

Not to mention that Rook and Andromeda have said this about Sea Clamp:Kurona wrote:Considering how controversial the idea of Cicawave/Shockadon is I'm just going to be the worst person ever and say that things in Sea Clamp's bio seem to line up with Soundwave. He's said to be a fellow Decepticon alongside Shockadon (**** it, I'm calling him that now), he's said to have fierce loyalty, and... of all things, he convinced Ravage to turn from the 'cons to the council. Ravage. Who has consistently been portrayed as loyal to the Decepticon cause... what Decepticon, I wonder, could Ravage possibly be more loyal to than the Decepticons in general?
ANDROMEDA: I believe he was the one who selected the Agent the Tripredacus Council dispatched, was he not?
ROOK: That seems to be the case. General Sea Clamp works best in the shadows, perpetually keeping an audio receptor to the ground . That and his incredible memory and computational abilities made him quite the force to be reckoned with.
