The 2024 Shizuoka Hobby Show 2024 is currently taking place in Japan and Takara is present. It has unveiled the AMT line which is turning previous highly detailed and stylized model kits into transforming figures. The first one shown is AMT-01 Rodimus, which is based on Flame Toys Kuro Kara Kuri Rodimus. There will also be a Predaking coming in this line. Independently of all this, we also have a preview for a Leo Prime figure along with a first in hand look at the rerelease of MPM 3 Bumblebee in a more accurate, the upcoming exclusive movie Optimus Prime based on SS Crosshairs, MPG Super Ginrai and Missing Link Bumblebee and Cliffjumper.

Following initial word of an assortment of Hot Wheels cars in decidedly non-Transformers based vehicle options we have our first look at two somewhat more accurate takes on two recognizable characters.

First up we've got a listing for Hot Wheels Track Fleet Optimus Prime straight from Big Bad Toy Store. This isn't just a random semi truck painted up like OP but a new model complete with the instantly recognizable removable trailer design. This is a 1/64 diecast vehicle and at least BBTS has it priced at $10 and shipping in July. This is a new line launching in 2024 so it's hard to tell just how well it'll be distrubted.



Then we've got Bumblebee who may or may not be the same one from the initial listing above. It's a classic yellow BW Beetle, not the scrunched up one we know and love from G1. The photos are posted by rj_nighthawk on Reddit who says he received it from a local Facebook pre-order listing not expecting it to not only be a leaked copy but also unriveted. As the photos show the car shell may very well be a generic body that is used regularly by Hot Wheels, but the underside features Bumblebee's face and Hasbro copyrights.













It'll be interesting to see exactly how this Bumblebee will be released and if we'll see more figures alongside him. And who knows, maybe there's a Track Fleet Motormaster on the horizon as well? There is another confirmation that the Transformers 1 movie comes out September 13 and it is revealed that there will be a Transformers themed episode of the Masked Singer. In terms of collectibles, they confirm that we are getting more Transformers Funko Pops and they reveal a non transforming Optimus Prime in Ecto 1 colours from Jada.

Hasbro Pulse recently revealed the next HasLab of powerful proportions. Fans can back this TRANSFORMERS HasLab project, Transformers: Legacy Robots in Disguise 2001 Omega Prime, until March 14, 2024, at 11:59 PM EST. Over 40 distinct Hasbro TRANSFORMERS anniversary figures will be available across the year-long celebration. Fans can jam out with the TRANSFORMERS 40th anniversary vinyl album, ‘Hasbro presents Transformers: Music from the Original Animated Series,’ featuring music from 1984’s The TRANSFORMERS classic animated series (seasons 1-3). Originally released in 2019 with over 45 minutes of music, this reissue album includes bonus tracks and a mixture of remastered orchestral and ‘80s inspired synth tracks from the original tapes by composer Rob Walsh. The album will also be available digitally for the first time across all digital music platforms. Pre-orders open July 26.

Thanks to Seibertronian EvasionModeBumblebee for letting us know that Transformers MPM-14 Bonecrusher has been announced by Target as part of their Summer Geek-Out and pre-orders are live at both Target.com and Hasbro Pulse. He has a few interesting features like 50 points of articulation, over 180 deco operations, flame effects, alternate forks and, yes, the head is removable! In fact he comes with an alternate destroyed head with an eye hanging out. He's priced at $164.99 and is expected to be out in late November 2023.

Our friends over at ThreeZero have shared the first image of their next work of art, and this time it is Rise of the Beasts Bumblebee!

ThreeZero has a good track record of Bumblebees so far, having done the Bee movie VW Bee as well as The Last Knight Bumblebee, both of which were fantastic.

This newest Bee is based on his appearance in Rise of the Beasts, and is modeled after his 1977 Camaro form. He is said to come with his battlemask and has light up eyes.

No word yet on a release date, but we will be watching for a full reveal in the coming months.

The Transformers Bishoujo line is taking up steam as it continues along while some of the statues are starting to come out. Optimus was released earlier this month, Megatron just came out and Bumblebee was announced last week. Below you will see images of all three, and it is our best look at the packaging as well. There are in hand images of Optimus and Megatron and promo images of Bumblebee. There are also preorder links for Bumblebee from Amazon. She is stated for a December release.

We have A LOT of news to get through. While none of what we will show below targets older fans, maybe with the exception of the Jada products, it is fun to finally see all the Transformers Rise of the Beasts products that will be coming to shelves this year. I know what you needed more of in your life, NFT trading cards showing Funko Pop toys based on Mr Potatoe Head dressed up as either Bumblebee or Optimus Prime. Well Funko is there to help with their latest NFT lottery offering (here is a link to their previous one). It was revealed on their site that their next NFT lottery will include Mr Potatoe Head Transformers Funko pops among other Hasbro "retro" toys themed pops. Below is a breakdown of how it works, written by Pcsolyar, along with the NFTs and images of the physical Funko Pops you might win through this.

You buy a digital pack of NFTs (5 NFTs for $9.99 or 15 for $29.99) and have a very small chance of getting a rare one that comes with the physical product redemption. Optimus is the "grail" of the wave, with a 0.28% pull rate. The other 5 physical redemptions, including Bee, have a 1.72% pull rate. Most people just get worthless ones. It's just digital trading cards with the NFT buzzword tacked on and the chance to win a physical Pop! figure. And if you collect the full set, excluding the physical redemption ones, you get a bonus physical Funko of their mascot in a Hasbro t-shirt holding a Simon game.

We have listings of those upcoming vinyl figures. What's fun is that even if you are not a fan, Funko pops often give us a better look at characters. New 10z Silver Megatron Coin

Hi all,
Another day another dollar - or, rather, collectible Transformers $2 coin! This one comes from NZMint here in New Zealand and is the latest in a series of licenced pop culture silver coins (including Disney properties and the DC Universe) and the third Transformers coin to be released after Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.



The design on the obverse face has a terrific likeness of G1 cartoon Megatron and a large "1984" across its lower third.



The reverse is dated 2022 but, interestingly, still features the profile of the late Queen Elizabeth II rather than King Charles III. Perhaps this design was in the works before Her Majesty's death in September this year? The coin is valid legal tender in the South Pacific island nation of Niue - it is stamped as $2 Niuean.



The coin looks to be packaged in a fold-open display box, which is decorated with a quite faithful rendition of the original toy's box art. A certificate of authenticity is also included which will state which of the 3000 coins minted has been purchased.

The coin will retail for NZ$159.95.

Given this is the third Transformers coin to be announced by NZMint perhaps the coin collector segment of our fandom is larger than we thought!
