Hasbro has unveiled Studio Series deluxe class Mirage from the Rise of the Beasts movie. The images below were posted on their Facebook page, stating that a preorder will be up at a later date. This reveal coincides with the Superbowl spot showcasing the character. The only studio series Autobot toy left to reveal now is Wheeljack. Let us know what you think of this Mirage toy.
Back when Core class Freezer was first official revealed by Hasbro for the Transformers: Rise of the Beasts portion of Studio Series fans were surprised to learn that he had three alt modes. The Hasbro Pulse Transformers live stream that soon followed gave us a better idea of what was going on, explaining that he has a stand alone canon mode, a hand held gun mode and a third mode for mounting on Leader Scourge in truck mode, but without demonstrating. Thanks to Takara Tomy's round of pre-orders they've given us a new set of stock photos detailing all of Freezer's modes. As expected the differences between the three alt modes are fairly minor, coming mainly down to how the arms and feet are positioned, but it's fairly effective for such a small figure.

While this wave was released a while back by online retailers (and found sparsely at Toysrus in Canada), many many fans were still looking for this wave in stores to no avail. Well, reports have been coming in the the past week of this 2022 fall wave finally appearing in Walmart stores, both in the US (in several states) and Canada simultaneously. This makes it the first time this wave has been found at a big box store in the US. It comes to show how all over the place brick and mortar distribution is now with this 2022 fall wave being found at the same time at the 2023 summer wave of legacy toys (that being the Legacy Evolution wave 2 core class figures).
This leaves TMII Dragon Megatron as the only 2022 toy not released in American big box stores, so far.
Paramount debuted a new 30 second trailer for Transformers Rise of the Beasts during tonight's Big Game on FOX. This new trailer didn't offer much new footage, but what it does finally reveal is Mirage in robot mode sporting a more traditional looking Transformers face.

TRANSFORMERS: RISE OF THE BEASTS IS IN THEATERS JUNE 9, 2023
SYNOPSIS: Returning to the action and spectacle that have captured moviegoers around the world, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots and introduce a whole new breed of Transformer – the Maximals – to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons. Directed by Steven Caple Jr. and starring Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback, the film arrives in theatres June 9, 2023.
As we previously front paged, there was an hour and a half long discussion with Hasbro's Transformers team yesterday, which you can see below. At the 47 minute mark, a question was asked in regards to whether or not there are two separate teams working on the same Rise of the Beasts characters, since we are getting the same characters in different designs in different lines. And while answering that, BMac gave us the first ever acknowledgement of an upcoming animated movie toyline.
"The same team that works on the (Rise of the Beasts) movie line is working on Earthspark and working on the animated film for next year". We then learn that the team mentioned is made up of four designers and that two are in LA. With a 2024 release schedule it would make perfect sense that the toys are already underway, but it was still fun to hear of it. We've had so little info on the film that this helps make it more concrete. Also, it gives us an idea of what we can expect from that movie's toyline since it would follow the same model as Earthspark and the Rise of the Beasts line of favoring gimmicks while also possibly having more standard offerings.
This also means that we will have 2 movie toylines one after the other, taking up shelfspace next to the Studio Series, Generations and Earthspark toys. So lots of Transformers product coming out way this year and the next.
We saw the new voyager class Optimus Prime and Rhinox from the Rise of the Beasts toyline the other day, but just in their boxes. Now, we can see them clearly in alt mode and robot mode. And we also see them compared to the previous toys of the same character and in both cases we can see how these are completely new toys. We even get a video review of Optimus Prime in Chinese.
Just to clarify, these are NOT Studio Series toys, but mainline toys. While they will be the same price as Studio Series voyagers, they are based on different designs given to the Hasbro toy development teams since these toys were being made much before the Studio Series toys.
Also, while we are getting a Studio Series Rhinox, the voyager Optimus Prime in the Studio Series line will only be available through the Buzzworthy Bumblebee line at Target. To go with these images, we also have new stock images from the Studio Series line. These show the packaging and background for Cheetor, Arcee, Bumblebee and Battletrap.

Hasbro is releasing more Rise of the Beasts toyline content to showcase upcoming product. Today we have new videos showing the transformation for the Smash and Change Optimus Primal and transforming Bumblebee mask.
This makes it the 4th Optimus primal toy and Bumblebee toy revealed in the mainline so far, though we know they will each get more toys.
These simpler toys, like Primal, sold well in the past as they offer larger toys with quick conversions for kids, we'll see if that trend continues with the introduction of Beast Wars characters for a new generation.

We have A LOT of news to get through. While none of what we will show below targets older fans, maybe with the exception of the Jada products, it is fun to finally see all the Transformers Rise of the Beasts products that will be coming to shelves this year. Number 101 in the Studio Series Line, Scourge transforms from his Mad Max-esque truck mode into a surprisingly lean robot mode. Check out the official pictures and description below!
Transformers Studio Series Leader 101 Scourge

As with Airazor, most characters in the upcoming Rise of the Beasts film will get toys in both the Rise of the Beasts toyline and the Studio Series toyline (for more info on that, click here). Now we have our first look at Studio Series voyager class Cheetor. As you can see below, it borrows nothing from his Kingdom counterpart and is a fully new mold with a design harkening back to Beast Machines. This toy will be up for preorder later today.
