While we did have some code name listings before, we finally get a full breakdown of the movie line with the characters in it. There is no Battletrap toy in the classes we know of but there is another character we had not heard of yet called Crescent. You will see which characters get a deluxe toy, and which ones are part of the more gimmick driven classes. The entire line seems to mirror the current Cyberverse line where most are toys targeting just kids (as we saw for the Bumblebee line) along with a deluxe class which can appeal to anyone, while not being conscious of scale. Anyone wishing for the ROTF line again can forget that, this is basically the Cyberverse line but for the next movie. Take that as you will.

Now the very interesting part of all this is that these toys were due in 4 months from now, same time as Legacy wave 2. So, will this toyline be delayed to be in stores when the movie is out in 2023, or will it still go to shelves as we saw with the Minions Rise of Gru film? This has been a growing trend with movie delays and associated merchandise and you can read more about that here.

Ok, so without further ado, here is the full Transformers Rise of the Beasts line meant to be out with the film:

Deluxe Class (assortment 5010993983308)

Deluxe Bumblebee
Deluxe Mirage
Deluxe Wheeljack
Deluxe Airazor
Deluxe Nightbird

Beast Battle Master Class

Optimus Primal (5010993952069)
Cheetor (5010993952106)
Crescent (5010993952076)
Airazor (5010993952090)
Rhinox (5010993952113)
Beast Mode Bumblebee (5010993983773)

Power Combiners

2pk Optimus Prime (5010993958634)
2pk Bumblebee (5010993958436)
2pk Wheeljack (5010993958399)
2pk Scourge (5010993958696)
2pk Arcee (5010993958429)
2pk Optimus Primal (5010993958382)

Power Alliance (the assumption is these are Transformers with an armor/weaponizer you attach)

2pk Optimus Prime (5010993958733)
2pk Optimus Primal (5010993958719)
2pk Arcee (5010993958740)
2pk Wheeljack (5010993958399)

Smash Changers

Optimus Prime (5010993958474)

Battle Changer

Bumblebee (5010993958405)
Mirage (5010993958832)
Rhinox (5010993958849)

Bumblebee 2 in 1 Mask (5010993941094)

There will also be one steps called 'Power Step' (5010993960736), and class for smaller figures calle Spark Racers (5010993983407), as well as Spark Chargers class (5010993983117) and Roleplay Basic Masks (5010993961238).

So a pretty big line with 10+ classes filled with Beast characters, "G1" characters and the Bad Guys Scourge and Nightbird. Also, the concept art in the Thumbnails is not indicative of final designs, just based on descriptions already given by the film staff, and they are courtesy of Lazlo Ven.

We know from Deadline that Paramount has pushed back the release of Transformers 7: Rise of the Beasts by a whole year. Instead of coming out in June 2022, it will instead be released in June 2023, the 9th to be exact.

What makes this more interesting than possibly any other film delay is that more than any live action franchise, the Transformers franchise always has a major toyline assigned to it, often taking up entire retailer areas, as can be seen below. And the Rise of the Beast toys are already ordered by retailers like Target, which have the toys already in their system, for a 2022 release date. You can see the whole list of toys here (they are in spoiler free code names). And as we had seen in previous toylines for films, like Godzilla vs Kong, Black Widow, ect, the fact that the toys were already in the pipeline meant they were released anyway. So knowing all this, is it possible that we still get that massive toyline in 2022 instead of in 2023 when the movie releases? We'll see, but this is bound to be interesting.

While toy reveals were the biggest part of the Transformers segment in Pulsecon 2021, there was some Rise of the Beasts news as well. Anthony Ramos, the star of the film, confirmed Cheetor to be in this film. You can see that segment at the 1:40:00 mark in the video below. That would mean that the Beast cast, so far, is made up of Optimus Primal, Airazor, Rhinox and Cheetor. We alsohave Nightbird, Scourge and Battletrap as Terrorcons and Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Arcee, Mirage and Wheeljack as Autobots. No names have been given for Decepticons or Predacons in the film.

Please note, the picture in the thumbnail is of old concept art, we do not know how Cheetor will look like in this film yet.

A reporting by Cuscopolita, which you can watch right here on Facebook, looks at the different vehicles/characters on the set of Transformers Rise of the Beasts. You get a good look at the interior, if that's something you wanted to see. But more importantly, we get the names of all these vehicle characters. We learn that the Volkswagen van is indeed Wheeljack as many had guessed. The Tow Truck is called Battletrap and from the looks of it it's most probably just a cool name for a bad guy with no relation to the G1 toy.

While the Transformers live action film franchise has had all of its films distributed by Paramount Pictures, we will see if that will continue to be the case going forward after the restructuring currently underway. In a press release (which you can read entirely below) it states that the head of Paramount Jim Gianopulos, will be replaced by Brian Robbins, who was the head of Nickelodeon. What's interesting is that soon after in the press release, when it describes what Brian Robbins will be doing as CEO, it only refers to films produced for Paramount+, the streaming service. While this is definitely stating that the Paramount wants a lot of effort concentrated on their streaming service, we don't know if that's all he will do.

Effective immediately, Jim Gianopulos, Chairman and CEO of Paramount Pictures, will transition oversight of Paramount to Brian Robbins, who has been appointed President and CEO of the studio in addition to maintaining his current responsibilities leading Nickelodeon.

Robbins will assume oversight of films produced for Paramount+ as well as continue to be responsible for kids and family content globally for the streaming service. Nevins and Clemens will also continue to serve in their current Paramount+ roles of Chief Content Officer, Scripted Originals, and President of Original Scripted Series, respectively.

While this will definitely cause some changes in the Transformers film releases going forward, it's unsure in which way. Would the films be Paramount+ exclusive? Would Hasbro simply cut ties since they have their own studio (EOne) now? We'll see. Here is the entire press release for those who want all the details.

ViacomCBS Announces Leadership Transition at Paramount Pictures

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ViacomCBS Inc. (NASDAQ: VIACA, VIAC) (“ViacomCBS”) today announced a leadership change at Paramount Pictures. Effective immediately, Jim Gianopulos, Chairman and CEO of Paramount Pictures, will transition oversight of Paramount to Brian Robbins, who has been appointed President and CEO of the studio in addition to maintaining his current responsibilities leading Nickelodeon. Gianopulos will serve in an advisory role at Paramount through the end of the year to help ensure a smooth transition.

In addition, Paramount Television Studios (PTVS) will now become part of the premium network group under the leadership of David Nevins, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Showtime Networks, bringing together the divisions’ premium scripted content capabilities. Nicole Clemens will continue to lead PTVS in her capacity as President, PTVS, reporting directly to Nevins.

As part of this transition, and in line with ViacomCBS’s previously announced streaming content leadership structure, Robbins will assume oversight of films produced for Paramount+ as well as continue to be responsible for kids and family content globally for the streaming service. Nevins and Clemens will also continue to serve in their current Paramount+ roles of Chief Content Officer, Scripted Originals, and President of Original Scripted Series, respectively.

“Paramount is one of ViacomCBS’s crown jewels, delivering some of the most iconic moments in entertainment for more than a century. The moves we’re making today will build on Paramount’s strong momentum, ensuring it continues to engage audiences at scale while embracing viewers’ evolving tastes and habits,” said Bob Bakish, President and CEO of ViacomCBS. “A passionate storyteller who takes a holistic view of the entertainment ecosystem, Brian is an expert at building powerhouse global franchises by leaning into the unique strengths of new and established platforms – including theatrical releases, streaming, linear, consumer products and more. With Brian drawing on his extensive experiences across animation and live action, and David overseeing Paramount Television Studios, we will build on Paramount’s incredible legacy and chart a new path for the studio.”

Bakish continued, “Jim is a towering figure in Hollywood who has successfully led Paramount through an extraordinary period in the film industry. From the wild success of the A Quiet Place franchise to the Oscar-winning Rocketman to fan favorites like Sonic the Hedgehog and Mission: Impossible – Fallout, he has overseen the creation of films that have achieved both critical acclaim and commercial success. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Jim for his leadership in establishing a revitalized Paramount.”

Said Gianopulos, “I’ve been privileged to be part of this amazing world of film and television for almost 40 years, and at the heart, it was always driven by two principal things: the brilliant talent of storytellers, whose visionary expression excelled in every medium and whom I did my best to empower, and a fantastic team of colleagues who helped me make that happen. I’ve been honored to help guide the evolution and massive expansion of creative content, from the birth of video to global TV access, to the launch of iTunes, to ubiquitous internet availability, and now the streaming revolution. The opportunity to take the reins at Paramount and revitalize it, build first-class executive and creative teams, and restore it to both profitability and creative success has been a source of pride. Brian has a long and successful career, and having worked closely with him, I know he and the team at Paramount will have great accomplishments in the future. I wish them all the very best success.”

“Jim is nothing less than legendary in this business, and I am humbled and grateful to him for his years of mentorship and friendship during our time working together,” said Robbins. “I am excited about the future for Paramount Pictures, and I want to thank Bob Bakish for the opportunity to use this incredibly powerful and broad canvas to produce films for every audience and deliver them in the ways today’s consumers want to experience them.”

As President of Nickelodeon since October 2018, Robbins has overseen culture-defining content and franchises at the number-one entertainment brand for kids with a proven ability to successfully engage theatrical, streaming and linear TV audiences by understanding the power of each platform. Franchises such as PAW Patrol and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reach hundreds of millions of young people around the world through TV shows, movies and consumer products, while SpongeBob SquarePants has become one of the most popular animated characters of all time.

Under Robbins’ leadership, Nickelodeon has become a powerful driver of subscribers and engagement at Paramount+ since its launch in March 2021. Programming for young audiences, such as PAW Patrol: The Movie and the series and films in the SpongeBob SquarePants universe, account for a double-digit share of total streams, and the platform’s slate includes numerous highly anticipated releases from the likes of Nickelodeon’s Avatar Studios.

Prior to his appointment at Nickelodeon, Robbins served as President of Paramount Pictures’ Paramount Players division, where he worked closely with legacy-Viacom brands to identify talent and properties to be developed into co-branded feature films. Previously, Robbins co-founded the multiplatform media company Awesomeness in 2012 and served as its CEO. He also co-founded Tollins/Robbins Productions and was the Founder and President of Varsity Pictures.

Robbins has executive produced numerous television and movie hits, including Kenan and Kel and All That, the latter of which Robbins adapted into the Nickelodeon feature film Good Burger; directed the Paramount films Varsity Blues and Hardball; executive produced Blue Mountain State for Spike TV (now Paramount Network); and also produced the television series Smallville and One Tree Hill, among others.

Robbins is the recipient of a Directors Guild Award, a Peabody Award and the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’ Pioneer Prize. He is also an Emmy Award nominee.

Gianopulos’s distinguished career in the global entertainment industry spans nearly 40 years. Gianopulos took the reins of the studio in April 2017, revitalizing the studio and restoring profitability consistently throughout his tenure.

During his time at Paramount, Gianopulos has been responsible for creating and restoring massively successful franchises including A Quiet Place and A Quiet Place Part II, with more films in the works; Sonic the Hedgehog, with a sequel slated for release next year; Mission: Impossible – Fallout, the most profitable and critically-acclaimed film in the franchise, with the seventh and eight installments in production; the highly-anticipated Top Gun: Maverick; and Bumblebee, which marked a reinvigorated Transformers brand, returning the franchise to both profitability and critical acclaim. Additionally, Gianopulos rebuilt the popular Tom Clancy franchise across both film and television and was responsible for the award-winning 2018 hit Elton John biopic Rocketman.

During his tenure, Gianopulos built a first-class team of film and television executives, including his hiring of former Twentieth Century Studios chief executive Emma Watts to oversee the motion picture group, as well as bringing on seasoned marketing leaders, including Marc Weinstock and Mary Daily, and re-establishing Paramount Animation under the leadership of Mireille Soria, among other key roles. On the television side, Gianopulos built Paramount Television Studios, with Clemens at the helm, increasing output to more than 20 shows consistently in production and on the air. High-profile projects in production include The Offer, about the making of The Godfather, for Paramount+ and American Gigolo for Showtime.

Prior to joining Paramount, Gianopulos served as the Chairman and CEO of Fox Filmed Entertainment from 2000 to September 2016. In this role, he was responsible for feature film production, marketing, and global distribution of film and television content in all media. During his time as Chairman and CEO of Fox, the studio had its most profitable years ever, and in 2014, Twentieth Century Fox broke the all-time industry global box-office record, earning more than $5.5 billion. Gianopulos also has the distinction of having championed two of the biggest film successes in history, Titanic and Avatar.

Gianopulos chairs the Board of the Motion Picture and Television Fund, serves as Treasurer of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Board of Trustees, and is a member of the board of the USC School of Cinematic Arts and a trustee of the American Film Institute.

A big problem for several fans in the live action films is how the Transformers are often times secondary characters in their own movies, with many human characters. While this is due to how costly the effects are, along with the POV style of shooting/mayhem Michael Bay deliberately chose for his films, the point still stands. The upcoming Transformers: Rise of the Beasts film seems to deviate from this, at least for the scenes shot in Peru. The Peruvian news site RPP reported documents detailing the 120 cast and crew members that will be on site for the filming in September and out of that list only 2 are actors. And since we know that key scenes of the film will take place in Peru, seeing such a low number of actors means the rest of the characters are CGI. It has been suspected that this is the place where the film's mcguffin is found along with the Maximals so there will be scenes where humans are the minority. Or this could be a misinterpretation of the article (like maybe it's just 2 Peruvian actors integrating with the rest of the cast) or of the source the article is using. We'll see. Of course don't forget that there will be lots of humans in the Brooklyn segment including a job interview for the main character.

Rumour had it the next movie line would be YUGE, and these listings show us why. While there will be many simpler toys, as there is in every movie line, the deluxes and such will not be relegated to the Studio Series line but will instead be in the movie line with the simpler Transformers toys. We know this due to the new products found on the Target database systems being under a new DPCI rather than the one for Studio Series (or Legacy). And since the same character will be available in a myriad of classes, you will see the same codename appearing a few times in these listings found by fellow Seibertronian JTPRime 17. Also, please be aware, the codenames are meant to confuse anyone seeing then, they mean absolutely nothing.

Here are the Transformers Rise of the Beasts Code Name listings:

• Transformers Alpha ($15.99, ROTB)
• George Transformers ($9.99, ROTB)
• George Transformers ($21.99, ROTB)
• Safari Transformers ($10.99, ROTB)
• Journey Transformers ($10.99, ROTB)
• Orion Transformers ($10.99, ROTB)
• Orion Transformers ($15.99, ROTB)
• Cyclops Transformers ($21.99, ROTB)
• Pluto Transformers ($10.99, ROTB)
• Transformers Barcelona ($15.99, ROTB)
• Cyclops Transformers ($31.49, ROTB)
• George Transformers ($31.49, ROTB)
• Oscar Transformers ($21.99, ROTB)
• Warrior Transformers ($10.99, ROTB)
• Mv7 Deluxe Outlaw ($22.99, ROTB)
• Alpha Transformers ($9.99, ROTB)
• Warrior ($31.49, ROTB)
• Mv7 Deluxe Pluto ($22.99, ROTB)
• Mv7 Deluxe George ($22.99, ROTB)
• Mv7 Deluxe Barcelona ($22.99, ROTB)
• Mv7 Deluxe Titan ($22.99, ROTB)
• Mv7 Role Play Blaster Alpha ($20.99, ROTB)
• 2pk Transformers Bb Mv7 Energon ($26.99, ROTB)

Here are the newly found Legacy listings which finally show the rumoured leader class Blitzwing (which will also be a voyager sized toy, like Astrotrain). Core Megatron could likely be a repack and Deadend was expected since we are getting a Menasor in this line made up of 4 deluxes and a commander class Motormaster.

• Leader Blitzwing Transformers ($49.99, Legacy)
• Core Megatron Transformers ($9.99, Legacy)
• Deluxe Deadend ($22.99, Legacy)
• Core Hotrod Transformers ($9.99, Legacy)

And lastly, we have a single addition to our Studio Series listings which is probably a core class of Spike in his exosuit in the 86 movie:

• Spike Transformers ($8.49, Studio Series)

As a side note, the word leak has been thrown around a lot regarding the recent listings but it's being used wrong. A leak by definition is internal. All this info is from Target's end, and any of the thousand employees have access to see them and any other products that can be ordered in the system. The fact that we see codenames on movie lines for these listings on outsider databases means every safety measure is in place and working. It also means there is a bigger emphasis for security relating to the movie toys than any other toys.

Here are a selected amount of images showing these odes on Target's system.

Filming has been underway in Montreal for a while. A lot of it is taking place inside the studio buildings but the driving scenes are taking place outdoors and it seems so will part of the scenes dealing with the Maximals. We have new shots of a cave being built for the production of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. While we cannot verify ourselves, it was said that this cave was referred to as the "Maximal Cave" on set. This is in line with all the plot details we know of the film so far where the Autobots and Noah will have to find a mcguffin that leads them to a cave where the Maximals have been staying/protecting for many years here on earth. We also have images of a Transformer lying on the ground elsewhere in the Montreal area for a different scene. While the character will be added later, for now we have a bunch of metal painted blue marking where it will. The location definitely gives some junkyard vibes.

The images were posted on the Transformers FR website and Facebook page.
