Fellow Seibertronian Mr Black has sent us word that Hasbro has released the official stock photo of MPM 06 Movie Masterpiece Ironhide. This was posted on the official Transformers Facebook page along with the words "Ironhide is here and this crafty vet is ready for action". This figure was revealed at the Hong Kong Toy Fair earlier today where he was shown next to other MPM figures, such as prime and Bumblebee. Him being in between the two when it comes to height suggests that his price may be in between the two as well (around the $90 mark). We do not have a release date for this toy.
We have included a render and screenshot of Ironhide's CG model for you to compare with this toy. Do you find his proportions fine? And is that indeed fake vehicle kibble in robot mode when it comes to the grill? This would not be the first time for Ironhide since the Dark of the Moon leader class figure also had that. Are you ok with this type of kibble on a Masterpiece figure? Let us know in the discussion!
As promised yesterday, the Hong Kong Toy Fair did indeed have the full reveal from Hasbro of figures from the Transformers Movie Masterpiece line - though it was a private toy media press event at the Royal Pacific Hotel, and not at the Fair itself, and with MPM Bumblebee present as a comparison yardstick - featuring a good look at MPM-5 Barricade (whose thread can be found here) and the newcomer Autobot heavy weapons specialist: MPM-6 Ironhide!
The images and video below are from the same Hobbymizer Facebook page that broke the news yesterday, and we hope you can enjoy taking a look for yourselves, as the new Ironhide is compared to Bumblebee and a previous version (the leader class?) of the movie character. What do you think? Join the discussion in the Energon Pub!
Voyager Megatron, from the upcoming 2018 Studio Series Transformers toyline, was one of the first toys we ever had solid proof of. We had a few images form Weibo but they were either small or blackened out in certain parts (as can be seen below). But now, we have the same image of the back of the box, also from Weibo, that shows the toy not obstructed by neither a black marker or a watermark, letting you get your best look yet at the figure.
For those unaware, this is a new voyager class figure of movie Meagtron in his Revenge of the Fallen body. It is part of the Studio Series line, a toyline that will feature Transformers from all across the different live action films, from the 2007 movie and even the newest Bumblebee movie. It also seems to be the way that Hasbro will be releasing the more traditional Transformers figures for the Bumblebee film instead of them appearing in a line just for that film. The 2018 Bumblebee movie line will instead feature the toys that are either simpler or gimmick based. Since Age of Extinction, Hasbro has tried to distinguish the toys that would interest collectors from the toys meant only for children and the Studio Series line will be used this time for this distinction. The figures should be at the same price points as the Transformers: The Last Knight Premier Edtion toys.
Enjoy the new image of Megatron below and let us know what you think!
Almost like clockwork, we have some new coded listings for upcoming toys during this year just begun, featuring the likes of the Transformers movie-verse, both for the Movie Masterpiece and Bumblebee: The Movie lines, along with the Studio Series, plus Generations, and Rescue Bots (Academy?).
The full list shown below is courtesy of fellow Transformers fan catz, over on TFW2005, who has a good track record for this type of news. In fact, a lot of names below seem to hail from the next live-action movie from Paramount - including Tiny Turbo Changers, Igniters, Action Attackers, and Roleplay items - but there is a little more in the form of Ironhide in the Movie Masterpiece Line, Generations Titan Class Predaking (perhaps), the new, unknown Project Storm, and some Mighty Muggs. Check it all out below!

Our latest coverage of this figure hailed from Canada back in this story, but thanks to fellow Seibertronian PrimeVsPrime, we now have an in-hand video review for Transformers: The Last Knight Allspark Tech Sqweeks!
Part of the latter end of the movie toyline, the Allspark Tech toys are podgy little box figures which feature electronics and an interactive play pattern of sorts, with cubes fitting the various characters' chests. Check out below how this works for Sqweeks in particular, which follows the likes of Optimus Prime, Nemesis Prime, Megatron, Barricade, Drift, Bumblebee and Hound, then let us know what you think in the Energon Pub discussion boards.
It's been just under a month since the last batch of Transformers: The Last Knight concept art, and now we have a few more concept images for the film to share, this time from artists James Paick and Wesley Burt. Shared by Paick on his Instagram account is an image of "Cybertron Vines", seemingly attached to and invading Earth. This is in contrast to the final film, which featured Cybertron crashing to Earth in chunks, but no kind of merging between the two planets.
Burt, meanwhile, has shared twoimages through his Twitter account. The first is an early concept for Barricade's appearance in The Last Knight, hewing much closer to his appearance in previous films with iconic character features like his long arms and insectoid face. (An animated version of the Barricade concept can be found on Burt's Instagram by following this link.) The second picture is another rough idea for Daytrader (simply called "Trader" here), appearing much thinner and far less similar to Hound in body-type, as well as sporting long "hair", goggles and a bandanna.
Check out the images below, and share any thoughts you may have in the Energon Pub Forums! It seems like concept art for The Last Knight is showing no signs of stopping either, so keep your optics tuned to Seibertron.com for any more Transformers news - movie-related or otherwise - that comes around!
