While tallying up the various responses to the Transformers One footage shown at Cinemacon, we got a sense of the story, and it appears that the villains of the movie will be the Quintessons. This is pre war and more about the origin of Transformers, so it makes sense that the Quintessons are an element. Both Orion (Optimus) and D 16 (Megatron) will team up to take them on, while also searching for the Matrix of Leadership (this film's MacGuffin) Indiana Jones style.
We also know from a reliable source that the Quintessons will also be part of the Transformers One movie toyline (the one targeted solely at kids).
So, any Quintesson fans out there? Does this news excite you? Let us know!

Christmas shopping season has started at Toysrus. Their stores are stocked to the brim, including the Transformers section. While there is a lot of stock, amount wise, there isn't much variety. It mainly features non Studio Series Rise of the Beasts toys and Cyberverse, which makes sense as they mainly target parents/kids. They also concentrate on their exclusives and their big Transformers deal for the next two weeks combines those two strengths of their: the exclusive mainline Rise of the Beasts 3 pack from the Buzzworthy Bumblebee line.
Below is how various Toysrus stores look like at the moment. You'll notice that they did get the wave 4 Legacy deluxes, but in a small amount, compared to the rest. They are also up to date on the Cyberverse line, with the latest Arcee/Hashtag finger puppets and the warrior Megatron wave.
In other sightings news, the final wave of 2023's Studio Series line is being found in Canada. Leader Primal and the deluxe wave with Mirage and Nightbird has been found at Gamestop.

The Rise of the Beasts toyline is being distributed now, with our first proof of that coming from Turkey where a small toy shop got the first wave of 3 step Smash Changer figures. We had already gotten Smash and Change Optimus Prime through the Cyberverse line and it seems Hasbro chose to release the rest of the Smash and Change figures through the ROTB mainline rather than Cyberverse. The figure we can see in the image below is 3 step Smash Changer Optimus Primal, and the photo is from that shop in Turkey.

New pictures have been uploaded to Baidu showing the upcoming Rise of the Beasts mainline converting role play mask. This is a mask of Optimus Primal's gorilla mode which transforms into Optimus Primal in robot mode. We had seen it out of the package a good while ago but now that we have it in package, there is new info to take in. Firstly, this mask is not packaged in Cyberverse line but in the Rise of the Beasts mainline packaging. This means that our early info on many ROTB toys being released in Cyberverse has changed. Turns out, only 1 toy was sent to the Cyberverse line so far while Hasbro has held off releasing the rest and will release them in proper Rise of the Beasts packaging. And that's great for us since it means we get to see the movie character models on the box. Here we get to see a new shot of Optimus Primal in his gorilla mode. We see skin and fur, stretched over a mechanical interior.

There seems to be some major confusion whenever there is news regarding the Transformers Rise of the Beasts movie toyline. Let's make it clear then, the entire movie toyline is marketed towards kids, just like the Cyberverse line and just like the previous Bumblebee movie toyline. While some of the toys may interest fans, none of them are made with the intent to be sold to that demographic. The toys of the Rise of the Beasts movie characters with the complexity and scale you'd expect (like voyagers and the like) will be sold in the Studio Series line instead of the actual movie line, starting
next year (2023). This was confirmed by Hasbro in a roundtable discussion that Seibertron attended.
Below are the toys that have been confirmed by distributors to be on US shores, awaiting distribution to stores. There is a good chance that these will not be announced formally before appearing on shelves, we'll see. All of them are of the gimmick variety and while they were all meant to be part of the movie's main toyline, some (if not all) will be rebranded with Cyberverse packaging. However, this is indeed big news as it means that the Rise of the Beasts toys will still be coming out this year, as was initially planned. That could not be postponed. Below are the new toys aimed at younger fans that will be appearing on your shelves in the coming months:
Power Alliance (Weaponizers)
Assortment Code: F38975L00
Product Code: TRA MV7 NEW TRANSFORMATION 15 AST
Power Battlers
Assortment Code: F38955L00
Product Code: TRA MV7 NEW TRANSFORMATION 6 AST
Power Step (1-Step)
Assortment Code: F38965L00
Product Code: TRA MV7 NEW TRANSFORMATION 10 AST
Spark Racers
Assortment ID: F4110
Product code: Tra Mv7 Spark Racers
Spark Changers
Assortment ID: F4113
Product code: Tra Mv7 Spark Chargers
Those numbers come from the TFW2005 site.

Let's see how many times we can say Bumblebee in one sentence when announcing this new product. Now on target, we can see this new exclusive two pack of the Bumblebee Movie Energon Igniters Optimus Prime and Bumblebee now rereleased in the Buzzworthy Bumblebee catch all toyline under the Rise of the Beasts moniker. While more to sell to parents/kids, this is definitely newsworthy since it shows that not all Rise of the Beasts products could be put under cyberverse. These exclusives, while from a previous toyline, still retain that Rise of the Beasts logo, which we can see on the box, making these the first official Rise of the Beasts toys out there. And even though they were made years ago, that truck mode for Optimus is closer to what his alt mode looks like in Rise of the Beasts than in the Bumblebee movie. Bumblebee also has the classic Camaro alt mode which he had at the end of the Bumblebee movie and will have at the beginning of this sequel.
Here are the images for this set officially called Buzzworthy Bumblebee Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Energon Escape 2pk, which come from
Target.

This is a really odd reveal, for many reasons. Firstly, it's a reveal for the Cyberverse line, a line which seemed done. Especially with a new kids show already revealed that will have its own toyline. Also, we don't usually get reveals for this line, since it's not made for fans (and there's no preorder for these). And lastly, the big one, this doesn't look at all like Cyberverse Optimus Prime. Optimus in Cyberverse has the evergreen design which we have seen for years now and which we will keep seeing, like in the upcoming Earthspark cartoon. This Optimus Prime, in robot mode, looks exactly like the recent live action Optimus Prime from the Bumblebee movie (and supposedly the Rise of the Beasts Movie too). Look at the arms, the chest, it's that BB Movie Prime. So, it begs the question, is this actually our first look at a toy from the Rise of the Beasts line, but in Cyberverse packaging. Is this the tactic Hasbro will use to release these already produced toys which are supposed to be out soon? Or will the ROTB toys still come out this year in ROTB packaging and this is just an extra toy for another line. No answers, only questions for now. That alt mode is also odd, since it resembles the one Optimus had in Beast Hunters, while also looking a bit like Legacy Bulkhead's, which supposedly will also be made into an Optimus Prime toy.
We do have some more details about this specific toy. It is 9-inches, so a pretty good size, and it transforms from truck to bot by smashing it on the floor, a tactic used in Age of Extinction toys as well. It will retail for $31.49 when it hits retailers in October.

While we did have some code name listings before, we finally get a full breakdown of the movie line with the characters in it. There is no Battletrap toy in the classes we know of but there is another character we had not heard of yet called Crescent. You will see which characters get a deluxe toy, and which ones are part of the more gimmick driven classes. The entire line seems to mirror the current Cyberverse line where most are toys targeting just kids (as we saw for the Bumblebee line) along with a deluxe class which can appeal to anyone, while not being conscious of scale. Anyone wishing for the ROTF line again can forget that, this is basically the Cyberverse line but for the next movie. Take that as you will.
Now the very interesting part of all this is that these toys were due in 4 months from now, same time as Legacy wave 2. So, will this toyline be delayed to be in stores when the movie is out in 2023, or will it still go to shelves as we saw with the Minions Rise of Gru film? This has been a growing trend with movie delays and associated merchandise and you can read more about that
here.
Ok, so without further ado, here is the full Transformers Rise of the Beasts line meant to be out with the film:
Deluxe Class (assortment 5010993983308)
Deluxe Bumblebee
Deluxe Mirage
Deluxe Wheeljack
Deluxe Airazor

2pk Optimus Prime (5010993958733)
2pk Optimus Primal (5010993958719)
2pk Arcee (5010993958740)
2pk Wheeljack (5010993958399)
Smash Changers
Optimus Prime (5010993958474)
Battle Changer
Bumblebee (5010993958405)
Mirage (5010993958832)
Rhinox (5010993958849)
Bumblebee 2 in 1 Mask (5010993941094)
There will also be one steps called 'Power Step' (5010993960736), and class for smaller figures calle Spark Racers (5010993983407), as well as Spark Chargers class (5010993983117) and Roleplay Basic Masks (5010993961238).
So a pretty big line with 10+ classes filled with Beast characters, "G1" characters and the Bad Guys Scourge and Nightbird. Also, the concept art in the Thumbnails is not indicative of final designs, just based on descriptions already given by the film staff, and they are courtesy of Lazlo Ven.
