Fellow Seibertronian and toy reviewer chuckdawg1999 has shared a video review showing off the last ofthe Transformers: Age of Extinction Power Battlers - and its redeco into the Takara Tomy Adventure line. Check out below the embedded clip for Claw Crush Junkheap (of which youcan see our own galleries here) and TED-05 Junkion, identical in all but the name and the colour palette!

The final figure from AOE is a Power Battler, that's really hard to find! Junkheap has a really fun chest claw gimmick that's unobtrusive and works with the toy. Junkion is the same character only in blue; it's also much easier, and cheaper to find.

With the announcement made at the Q1 earnings conference by Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner, we now have full confirmation about the fifth instalment in the Transformers live-action movie series, due some time in 2017. What also seems to be confirmed now, by Paramount Vice Chairman Rob Moore at CinemaCon Las Vegas, that director Michael Bay is 'at work' on the movie too - whether that means as director is yet to be fully clarified, though he is involved in multiple Paramount projects, in different roles, before this one. Par's Vice Chairman Rob Moore, who said to bear with him because he wasn’t a “morning person” and was instead used to his traditional Monday night slot, highlighted several upcoming sequels and reboots, including another Paranormal Activity for Fall, as well as a reboot of the horror franchise, Rings for November 13th. In between for Halloween will be the original horror comedy A Scout’s Guide To The Zombie Apocalypse which he said the studio was particularly jazzed about because of the title which got laughs from the exhibitors.

He also promised the theater owners that Michael Bay was hard at work developing a fifth Transformers movie since the first four have made an astounding $3.7 worldwide, music to the ears of this crowd which is ALL about box office. But first Bay is directing Thirteen Hours, a war movie set around a daring rescue mission in Benghazi that is already set for release on Martin Luther King weekend next January. Bay’s also producing a sequel to last summer’s successful ($485 million worldwide) reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle franchise, Ninja Turtles II, set for June 3, 2016.

Paramount looks to expand Transformers film franchise with spin-offs and more sequels

Earlier today, Deadline reported exclusively that Paramount is looking to follow the footsteps of studio rivals Marvel, Disney and Fox. Paramount apparently has plans to expand the Transformers "Universe" with additional sequels and spin-offs in a similar fashion to the Marvel Universe films, Star Wars and the upcoming Avatar films. Paramount is in negotiations with Akiva Goldsman who is credited as a writer, director, executive producer and more according to Wikipedia.

Two farmers, a father and son team, based in China, have been taking scrap metal pieces and creating statues of movieverse Bumblebee, Jetfire and Optimus Prime, among others. Scrap metal has always been big business, for example, cast iron tubs are made from scrap and they go for a pretty penny, but this takes the cake. Farmers Yu Lingyun and Yu Zhilin made around $160,000.00 for their endeavors and they show no signs of stopping now.

Their replicas (and any replicas, for that matter) are a hot item in China right now due to the success of Age Of Extinction, which was 2014's biggest movie and one of China's biggest in history. With fans that rabid, it's no surprise that custom works such as these would do big business.
